Currently there are many posts around the whole forum of different people that provided different lists, tools and whatever to ease the profile creation for HonorBuddy2.

I've thought that someone should gather them all up in a single post to help them find them easier :-)

So, without other delays, here we go:

External Tools

1. QuestIgnore Builder by Frymy.

Author's Description:
It is a list of (hopefully) all available quests atm, with the Quest-ID and a button to create corresponding Ignore-XML.

2. HB Hotspot Collector by xfox.

Author's Description:
actually, this is not a Plugin for HB, it's a standalone program.

it's a tool for collecting several hotspots (or blackspots!!!)

3. HB Goto Profile Wizard by xfox.

4. Tool for Generating Quest, NPC, Items lists from wowhead.com by Znuffie (that's me!).

Author's Description:
I've created a small tool (read: webpage) to parse wowhead.com quest/npc/items listing that generates questlists, item lists, and npc blacklists.

It automates grabbing all IDs and names for Quests/NPCs/Items and generating valid XML to create custom profiles.

Here's how it works:
  • You go to www.wowhead.com to the quest, items or npcs sections
  • You select whatever filters you'd like (area, item type, npc type whatever)
  • You copy the URL from your address bar, for example: http://www.wowhead.com/quests=0.36?filter=ty=0
  • You paste that URL in the form on the webpage, and hit the submit button - eventually you check/uncheck the comments
  • $$ Profit $$ :-)

5. CowQuests by cowdude.

Author's Description:
Since HB needs questing profiles now, I coded a tool that scans wowhead, filters results and saves them in a dummy xml profile.

This is not an HB plugin but a standalone .exe written in C#. Source code is available.

What it does:
  • Finds quests by zones
  • Finds quest givers by zones to blacklist them
  • Filters quests and NPCs
  • Automaticaly hides blacklisted quests from http://blacklist.honorbuddy.net/list.php
  • Quest/NPC info: doubleclick a row to open wowhead's related page
  • Generate an empty questing profile that contains "forced quest" and blacklisted quest givers

Usefull lists for profiles


1. All Food & Drink IDs List by Facequake.

My Description:
It's a list of all Foods and Drinks, usefull to include in a protected items list in a profile.
But I would have just used a query like this with my tool + wowhead:

Great post Znuffie, also you should release your outland and northend horde questing profile's. i am using the outland profile now with a level 60 rogue and it's working amazing since i have leveled to level 61 under 1 hour but that's with heirloom item's. Ill pm you problem's im dealt with and you can release it when it's stable if you want to mate. :)

I've manually checked those profiles untill lvl64, but after that I need more feedback from the community. Don't really feel confident in releasing them :-)

It's up to you what you do with them but if you release them in a "BETA" stage you will have alot of feedback and people picking up were there is problem's in the profile :) also i have hit level 62 now :)
 
Can a Mod sticky this or move this to the Guides section please, as we dont what this post lost in the dross...

Does all this stuff still work? I just tried clicking on the Blacklist quest link and it seems down. Did it move or just die?

Or Is this all out of date with the improvements in HB's questing logic?
