running the stand alone client through the launcher?

EDIT: for those stuck here as well i DL'd and installed the latest microsoft VC and it fixed the issue
 
So I got as far as downloading installing, setting up character and got the message to download a new EB.

It was then I realised the file currently linked on the beta page is the same as the beta file from Talisman. So no bot yet boys.
 
You have to use the Beta download link for the current bot. A Release build will not be made until Beta is solid.

Make sure you guys read the Release thread and install the pre-reqs as they have changed.

Can confirm DL is working as intended. I did have to install the pre-reqs as Pushedx explains. Since i am running 64 bit i first installed the 64 bit VC stuff, but EB would crash. I went back and installed the x86 version and everything is working fine. Note i did not reboot my PC after installing x64, but i did reboot after installing x86. Not gonna mess with it anymore since the bot is farming Dried Lakes just fine.

Hopefully the popular plugins get updated quickly. But as far as EB itself, it seems to be running just fine. Good work Pushedx!
