Clicking Questgiver or NPC for hours

It will do this for HOURS.

Can someone explain this to me, or how to resolve it?
 
What do you expect us to do without posting a full log? I would guess he wants to accept / turn in a quest that he can't get / turn in... use your brain!

the NPC isnt even a quest giver
 
Are you using a profile for undead with a tauren or something like that?

i use addon called "Turn In" u can find it here ---> wowinterface.com/downloads/info11250-TurnIn
easy to config and once you have used it a couple time you forget that its even there.
 
It looks like your quest log is full, and its unable to take the next quest it wants to pick up. Try jettisoning one or two, and see if it starts working. Sometimes you get 'carry overs' from one zone to the next that you will never complete.

And one more thing, exceptions are baaad. Once an exception is thrown in a program, all bets are off. I'd turn of dungeon & instance buddy (as they seem to be causing some of this), and see if it clears up.

Tried both. Does the same thing. Quest log isnt full and still does it. The NPC that it's clicking is just a random green NPC that does not offer a quest. I'm not really sure what else to do with it.
 
Also, just as a side note - I made a level 1 shaman (orc) and ran the Durotar 1-12 profile just to see if it did the same thing.

It stood there, accepted the quest from the first NPC then clicked him for about an hour before i closed it. So, i dont think it's a profile/cc issue.
 
There is probably a prerequisite quest that has not been completed. I have run into this several times on different profiles.

What quest is it saying that it needs to pick up?

I have had to check Wowhead for the prereqs, then complete them manually. "The Legend of Stalvan" is one example from Mord's profile that comes to mind. But there may be others.
 
You need to comment out the quests (pickup, objective, turnin) you have already done (or are otherwise unavailable) in the profile. Questing is still beta and has no mechanism to blacklist quests and move on when it gets stuck. I would recommend just using a grind profile if you're going afk more than 30 mins.

That's the quest. The person it's clicking isnt a quest giver at all. He's over by the flightpath for alliance at the top of STV.

So, just in-case this was the problem i made a lev 1 orc shaman to test the first quest and it does the same thing.

The NPC you linked is the correct quest giver for "Colonel Kurzen". The prerequisite for that quest is "Special Forces"(http://www.wowhead.com/quest=574) ... do you know if you've completed that?

Honestly, i don't know. I'm at work at the moment, so i cant find out until i go home.

Why would it do it with the lev 1 char too though? It also does it on other questing profiles.
 
I'm not sure why it would do it on other profiles. Just letting you know that when I've had the same issue (bot clicks on the NPC for hours on end) it's always because I haven't completed the prerequisite quest(s). You may just want to check the correct NPC and see if the quest is available manually. If it's not, then that's your problem.

Honestly, the most recent release of HB still seems buggy so you may want to try a prior version and see if you can replicate the issue.

1.9.6.1 works very well with Mordd's profiles.

its not a CC issue, CC's only control combat, for the most part.
