A SSD improves overall performance of the computer as a whole, so yes that includes overall performance of D3 or anything else you run on the computer, period.

Again no one here said anything about FPS being improved x 10000000. God you really are insane.

How am I trolling? Did I or anyone here say it will improve FPS? The fact is it improves overall performance of your computer, and therefor overall performance of the game - more so for users that stress out their computer 24/7 - a bottor.. It is as simple as that.

No one's saying it doesn't, but the way you believe it improves performance for d3 botting is wrong. As I already said, it will only decrease load times and is not the optimal choice for the first upgrade on a botting rig. That's what you seem to be misunderstanding as his point.

Ok. The OP said his PC is lagging from running 4 bots. My first thought about the OP is that he's one of those people who if you asked what their PC's specs are, they'd tell you the amount of space on their hard drive (thinking as if that means anything as far as what the machine can do).

What Cirroji was trying to point out to him was that upgrading the hard drive wont solve his "lag" issue. Upgrading his RAM and CPU will. And this is the truth. The only thing putting diablo 3 on a ssd is going to do for you in terms of performance is the game will open more instantly, and loading screens will be much shorter. As far as the games running smoother or being able to use his pc for anything else while running those bots, a new hard drive will not do anything to make it more bearable. Only by upgrading your processor and memory will increase his performance in this situation, as it's clear from his description he doesn't have enough resources to handle it.

I will give you an example that you can test yourself. I'll assume you're using an SSD. Take out half of whatever amount of RAM you have and run your bots as you normally would. Then come back and tell us how the SSD is the only thing making a difference.

Yes, under certain circumstances (especially bottlenecking, and even more-so fragmentation). However if the rest of his computer specs are up-to-date, the HDD is decent and the rest runs reliably, there won't be THAT huge of a difference. Also, the SSD wouldn't only help with loading screens. Remember the game also reads and writes.

Exactly. He assumes too much about the user, he has no idea of the specs. For some people they need a better CPU, some people need a better GPU, some it may be the RAM, for others it could be the hard drive (maybe it is also going bad).

In almost all situations I've found a SSD to give great overall performance no matter what they have.

I have 2 560ti graphics cards my wow was LAGGY I had a HDD I then got a SSD just for VMWARE and WoW and it make it alot smoother and A ssd will decrease the lag you have with your hdd thats if your GPU and CPU are up the stratch
