Auth server should only be used for logging... and problem will be solved

I bet the nav server wouldn't work without an active auth either, so they'd have to get local nav, which has been discussed and turned down.

It's not really feasible to have it any other way. Pretty much every single other bot out there has an auth system as well.

they are working on updating the server behind the auth servers, so in the future it will be faster and more robust, but keep in mind these changes wont be completed overnight.
