hey buddies!

Is there a thread where I could see the chancelog ?
Because I know that HonorBuddy has one and I also thought that DemonBuddy also has one, but why not ExileBuddy?

this would be really nice. the changelog is always empty and I don't understand why they can't just give a brief overview.

he was being sarcastic, madcow
... I have problems with that I'm sheldon

The changelog is basically;

"Nearly everything was rewritten."

(Not even kidding...)

We appreciate the project Apoc we just want to be in the loop with changes. Especially with a window that pops up that says Change log.

okay so it would not be hard to tell us that.
maybe it's a idea to do it the same way as HonorBuddy

I know many users want to see the changelog, and we'll work on ensuring there actually is one going into the future. However, with the huge rewrite, it would have taken us days to sort out a changelog to properly document all the changes that have been done.

I know we aren't going to get a full Change Log at this point, but can we at least get something that tells us in each build the "fixes" and the issues they are targeting? When a new beta build is released, we have no idea what to test, what should now be fixed, what's still broke, ect...

Even if it's just a few of the bigger issues.

Nothing fancy or in-depth, just a quick list.

We have an Exilebuddy Release/Beta Revision Guide

We try to keep it mostly up to date, but it does fall behind sometimes.

In terms of our "todo" list and where we are going with the bot, there's nothing on that just because it's always going to be "1. Ensure we aren't doing anything that triggers bans/flags. 2. Fix bugs/crashes 3. Improve the bot based on user feedback." :)

Thanks. I was aware of that post, but it hadn't been updated in some time, so I just figured it was abandoned.

So, I take it you aren't going to give us an ETA on zone transitions being re-added? :0)

There's no ETA currently for area transitions, because we're not happy with how the current areas have quite a few issues.

The pathfinding mesh settings needs to be adjusted and our movement logic needs reworking to fix the stuck issues.

Otherwise, most areas might not be able to be reached if the bot can't traverse through the preceding areas.

Let's first create a afk bot with the current things and then put some new stuff in it

It isn't new, it was a feature of the old version.

I'd always see posts in the forums about needing a "Questing" bot or plugin, but in actuality, with minimal intervention, the bot would do probably 75-80% of the quests with the zone transitions.

yes that's true, but all the bosses needed to be programmed and what about getting new gear and upgrades

Nothing like that. When new leagues start, I try to run 2 or 3 bots. It's just nice to be able to tell each one while leveling (for example) to go grind the "Submerged Passage". When I come back 15 minutes later, he's completed the quest and is standing in town. Then, tell him to grind the lower prison, and he goes from Lower Sub -> Upper Sub -> Ledge -> Climb -> Lower prison. I'll have them pick up all flasks/rings/amulets and equip accordingly after he's done.

I still have to turn in, pick quest reward, gear, that sort of stuff, but I can live with that.

Any word on getting specifics in the change log? Obviously, you're no longer rewriting the entire bot every version, so you should be able to tell us what's going on. The problem with the way it is now is that I (and I imagine others) just find the first beta that works for me and halt updates on it until the next PoE patch, because I don't know of any fixes going in. What's the point in updating when I have a working version and have no idea what was added or fixed in the next one? There's always the chance you broke something that was already working fine, so the cost-to-benefit ratio is way off (cost = possibly broken bot version, benefit = unknown).
