Im runnig some safe measures..I've been playing legit on my account for a couple years, until I recently started botting.

I guess the GM's can investigate what country the IP is played on that account from. I am currently using pingbuster to change my IP to a shady/another countrys IP.

Say if I get banned and want to appeal this, can I just confusingly say that "I got banned after trying to pick up the game again, only to see that the account is banned"?
Are the odds high that they will see that it looks suspicious (like a real hacker has gotten access to my account) and they will lift the ban?

*My friend has had his account hacked several times (only occured after he quit playing wow for a longer period) and then when he picked up the game again he only had to send a ticket and got instant unbanned.

*I quite recently removed authentication and sms protection, would that look too suspicious maybe?
*I'm using my paypal to pay the prepaid gametime, would that seem bad to or?

tl:dr fake that your account is hacked by a "hacker" (which is obvisouly you) and if you get banned, you can easily appeal cause hacked accounts is easier to appeal.

@Blazyb, I realize you are using a IP program to change your IP address, but they can also track you by the MAC address. And the MAC address has to be changed every time, usually Blizz won't go to those extremes, but it has happened before. Usually if you have the different IP addy, and you have been off for awhile that "I got hacked," usually works. You also said you had an authenticator on your account, please tell me you had that taken off before you got the ban. If you didn't, it really doesn't look very promising at all for you. The authenticator they put on your account is extremely hard to *****, nearly impossible, since it has some many random combinations. But all in all thats just my opinion. Good luck Blazyb! Hope everything works out for you!

Oh, I havnt been banned yet, im just wondering...you know incase I get banned. I did however remove authentication and sms protection, then started to change IP and bot.. now about the MAC address, if you use a VM, the mac address is different too right?

Sometimes it does Blazyb, but it always a good idea to double check, before you bot for that matter. Most MAC addy's you have to go in and change them manually. Usually when you do that it actually stays with that changed address until it is changed again.
