So far i've been doing the following:
running dungeons with my DK, changing between northrend and cata dungeons for 2-3 hours a day.
my lock and hunter doing random kill profiles like skyshard farming etc for 2-3 hours
during the time when i can supervise them, i run rep/daily profiles for about 1-2 hours a day
this results in between 3-4k a day, and i feel fairly safe, i try to avoid profiles that clearly visit the same locations over and over again. and occationally my greed gets the better of me and i run a dungeon bot for 5 hours at night(hoping that GM's sleep too) netting 4-5k+mats.
i'm pretty happy with the results, i'm not getting goldcapped but i never really need gold and i have only gotten a 72 hour ban for running bgbuddy 24/7 for a week gearing up my alts(which was probably a bad idea looking back

so what are you guys doing to automate the boring part of wow?
