Cant sell gold? then read this

Listen, for those of you having trouble selling gold, you are competing with tons of botters/ gold farmers that have the same product. Gold is gold, no matter whom it comes from, and everyone has it. The price of gold is always going to fluctuate so you can either sit on it till it goes up or sell at the going price, if you can. You will always have those botters who neeeeed to sell their gold now, so what do they do, undercut the market, thus drop in gold prices. My point is, you don?t have a product that puts you above the rest.

WHAT TO DO.

1. To better your chances in selling in the RMAH, buy an item with your gold that is equal or better in worth then the gold you were going to sell, and sell that. Most items are unique so that?s what is going to help you stand out. Make sure to jack up the price so you don?t take that 15% tax hit. I do this all the time and I always make more then what I would have sold my gold for.

2. This is the best way to make more bang for your gold buck. Play the gold auction house, you can win bid items for way below the cost of what they are worth and sell them for the same or 100% profit in the RMAH. This way is the most work, but, the profit is massive.

These ways are proven to work, so if you can?t sell gold, get to work and sell items. (if you disagree, post why)

Few months ago i read somewhere on the us forums a thread where it was quoted from the rmah terms of service: the rmah is not to be used for personal profit. Further more the author went on explaining how buying an item from the ah and selling it on the rmah can raise a flag and an actual ban of your account. I know it sounds a bit dumb but i clearly remember the guy complaining how some of his friends got banned for this sort of activity, and a lot of players condoned those actions and went on with the "he deserved it" hate replies.

Yes, you need an extra large Tin foil hat. RMAH not used for personal profit?!? what is the RMAH for then? I utilize these tactics all the time, and im not banned yet. i will have to review the TOS to find where it says this so I can laugh at it.

I mean seriously, it basically negates the entire purpose of the rmah, but there you have it...

I dont enjoy this game. Thats why I bot. If i enjoyed farming/ah farming i would not be botting as much as i does. yeah you can get some cheap items on bid, but for what? More gold?

It is okay to flip the GAH and im quite sure its okay to do the same wit RMAH. Coz it can go both ways for you. You can win and lose.

It says "Investment Vehicle" which is a loose term for buying and reselling based on making profits. How much and how often is up to blizzard.

Its another thing thats impossible to know because it is more than likely judged on a case by case basis and those determined to only be buying / selling and feeding gold in from 3rd party source to flip a lot of items with 0 interest in game play more than likely will get banned at some point.

I dont think funneling 1-2b gold through items every now and then would be a target worth going after. They are more focused on people selling full 10 $250's 24/7. Thats my opinion anyway.

The point of this post is to give people an alternative to not selling their gold or selling it at rock bottom prices. The point of winning bids is to make more real money by reselling the items you win for way more then what you got them for. even when gold was at an all time high, you can win bids and sell items for more then what you got them for. Even if you flip for more gold, gold = cash and having more then what you started with is a no brainier. I cant imaging doing this and also farming by hand, but, doing this with the gold that your bot makes is highly profitable. If you dont understand that then you obviously haven't tried it or don't have the skills or patience to play the GAH market. I personally multiply my real money profits considerably by doing it.

Sorry, i should have been more specific. I only play U.S., I dont know anything about E.U.

Well, i agree, there are almost no buyers, just some flippers still lurking.
If you sell an item that cost 100-200m gold for ~5 euros then it will be sold... or if this is godlike item that potentially is worth more than 250Eur in gold. Otherwise it's hopeless.

So we are in "deep recession" on RMAH for a long time.

I play U.S. and have no problem not only flipping items, but i can double+ my income using the gold I get from my bots. If gold is at an all time low, I have no problem buying an item and selling that item for the same amount of gold i spent, or more. Sure its alot of work sometimes, but its worth it when i have the cash in my paypal. Now like I said though, I am on US server and cant vouch for the EU server, sorry if the EU market sucks. People say the same about US, but I have no problem making profit, even when things are slow.

How many hours do you spend a day doing that? For me only managing items left by Trinity takes about an hour or more for my 4 bots. And I m not happy with that. (EU)
