- microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
- microsoft .net framework 4 extended
- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable

restart your pc,
download the DB installationwizard from here
run it as administrator.
after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
restart

You may have to reboot after installing all of that for Windows Update to actually find the .NET related updates, or check the "optional updates" for any .NET related ones.

unfortunately still not working, i ran the buddy wizard thing and it told me i have everything installed and i have just turned my computer on but still not highlighted

is there anyway i can manually at them into the settings file if so how do i go about doing it

you have to uninstall it first,not just to run the wizard

yeh it asked me if i wanted to repair or uninstall so i uninstalled it then rerun it

nevermind i have just upgraded to windows 8 and it seems to be working
