Hello,

Recently got back into wow and started botting ->>

Ive been having constant trouble with for the past day or so as I cannot seem to fix it at all. the problem is that the meshes aren't being downloaded and HB is spewing tons of errors.

As you can see within the log, I'm guessing its something to do with my network or yours. I have added it to the firewalls including passing all data of HB straight through the firewall on my router as well.

I'm just wondering as my conditions have changed since Ive last used the bot as I used to be in the UK now I'm in the philippines (business assignment for too long >.>) I'm also hoping its got nothing to do with my ISP.

Anyhow thanks.

it might be your isp, if you have access to the router make sure port 5031 is enabled on both the router and that your firewall on your machine isnt blocking it.

Just an update all ports are forwarded and its still happening infact just waiting for the exe to login it takes roughly 1-3 minutes before it loads. I also used tracert/ping to the auth servers and I believe my connection once it leaves the philippines is taking way too long to reach then come back.

I am getting 1.4MB download however I just believe it isnt enough.

Yeah it is - the router I've been supplied with is utter nonsense.

Do you think the cause could be the wireless network?

Hi, Noal,

Its certainly possible. Particularly if you live in an apartment or other dense living space, and all your neighbors use Wireless (which they do) and tread on the same limited number of channels (which they do). And this doesn't even begin to address interference from certain phone systems, microwaves, and other sources.

Recall that the 2.4GHz band is an unlicensed spectrum--no one is accountable for the radiation bleed into it at all. If you can bump your Wireless into the 5.0GHz band used by A or N, you would probably have less contention there (its still an unlicensed spectrum tho). You'll need to google for how to do this, if your hardware is capable of it.

May want to try running a cable from the Wireless hub to your computer for a couple of days to rule this out.

cheers & good luck with it!

Unfortunately the router that the ISP supplied did not come with an ethernet cable so I am unable to test it cabled. However once I obtain one I will update the thread if it was a success or not.

Chinajade, my router is probably the cheapest one possibly supplied to connect me to the network, infact alot of the features on the router is all disabled so I cannot mess around with the more advanced features. Debating on buying a new one or waiting for my shipped goods to arrive in a few weeks.

Thanks for the help so far guys.

Hi just another update.

My shipped goods arrived as, so I was able to test the client on 5 other pc's same error even cabled, across three different routers (two new ones due to wireless strength issues with wireless devices).

Any ideas?

Hi, Noal,

Welcome back and very sorry you're still having issues. Honorbuddy has upgraded since your last log. Can you upgrade Honorbuddy and toss us a fresh log to make certain the failure mode is the same?

cheers,

I tried logging in today and well I can't even get past the "Logging in".

Every application whether it be a P2P or downloading from http/FTP hosts or gaming halfway across the world I am fine - my current wow ping 150ms may not be super low its perfect too play wow.

Move country and everything goes too pot.

The hosts file is still the default windows 7 host file (its a fresh copy of windows 7) as there is nothing in it.

Are all the buddy servers(auth etc) hosted in europe? ( this site is hosted in france? ) if so then I believe that any data getting routed to europe is just too slow from the philippines, any data routed to the US/Asia/Oceanic regions is great.

Its working!

Hey just another update.

Its working! - Turned it on still got the same socket timed out error however, I just left it on for half an hour and BAM! it started downloading the tiles. I have no idea what happened nor would I want to know (maybe it found a better route to your servers? no idea.)

Anyhow going to leave it on (doing arch as it should fly around the world downloading tiles?)

Probably a pointless update but I'm happy.

Cheers
