- I'm using Teamviewer to control another PC on my Home Network.
- Both PCs are linked via a router and via Windows Workgroup.
- Here's the weird thing: Once that PC has VP connected (PPTP, OpenVP), Teamviewer, Windows Workgroup file sharing and etc will be terminated.
- Meaning that I have no virtual way of controlling that PC unless I go to it physically (it's in another room and on another floor).
- Disconnecting the VP, Teamviewer, Windows Workgroup file sharing will resume.

Is this normal?

if you are connected to the home network, either through V P N or by being home yourself, why dont you just use remote desktop which is build into windows ?, that way nothing get's disabled 100%. For you issue with teamviewer, no idea.

real vnc

also you may want to try ping with the name of the pc to get the correct ip

the reason I suggest real Vnc Is it allows direct x and it does not change the state of the host I.e. pseudo sleep mode
