Can we PLEASE for the love of god have a BOT IS WORKING/NOT WORKING Banner?

I wonder why the people who wrote forum software invented the function to sticky a thread. I mean, that does exactly what you people want, no? Status of the bot. And so far, this super amazing one of a kind unique feature has been used since, hmm.. well, ever?

I understand it's hard to click on Forums > Exilebuddy Forum then scroll down a bit to skip the subforums and gee, I wonder what's there. Oh look, I FOUND IT!!!!! OMGOMGOMG CALL YOUR MOM!!!

Now isn't that just a super convenient location to share information about the status of the bot? Right there, at the top of the Exilebuddy Subforum.

Now you little rascals with your inferiority complex, please go back to whatever rock you crawled from.

Guys i have a problem, when i start the exe nothing happens. I have renamed the exe file.
Before the last 2 beta version was allright, i doubleclick .exe and used bot without any problem.

Look guys making things easier or more user friendly is not a bad thing and I don't know why people get so angry about making improvements. I love Exbuddy and nowhere in my post was I saying I cant read a sticky, of course I do and have in the past.

But people like clandestine posting things like this quote is unacceptable. There is no need to be such a troll I get that people are beat down in real life and like to act like they are badass here which is why people do these things but lets have constructive criticism. His comments have been reported and apparently his account will be flagged but obviously its better to just try to get along. I know I got pulled into the negativity too but I edited out neckbeard which I wouldn't say is terrible but hey I'll admit fault.

Anyway, something like this is all I'm talking about, nothing extravagant. If everyone thinks its a bad idea that's fine I'm just offering a solution to people posting asking why the bot is broken.

I'll have to agree with you Viper, not about the "Banner" suggestions, but about the communication on this Forum.
I'm a old time owner of "buddy" products, and just recently starter playing POE. I went looking for a bot, and found out there were 2 prominent ones available. This one and the "other" one.
After reviewing both forums, to investigate the methods applied and in general the amount of support offered by both bots, my decision was clear and simple...
I went for the other bot for 2 reasons. 1- It was hard to figure out on the forum alone if the bot was working or not, due to all the "...is not working" post. 2- There are certain "longtimers" that have a very foul and unwelcomming attitude
to Noobs. To these people i want to remind you: This is a community based of users, from programmers to no skillers, from kids to elders,and for men and women of a very wide background. What may seems logical or elementary for you, wont be for the next person. Most and foremost this a a Product, and one that has to be sold. When people check this product out, the first image they get is what/how we Behave...And boy that aint good.
So please keep a decent tone, No one is asking forcing you to comment/help on a thread, but i will be asking you to stop patronising.

Blame those douchebags with no "welcoming" senses Kappa That's almost a year I asked for a "forum adjustment" but seems like nobody care, the cash is flowing, people have hard time figuring things but I can't hear with the sound of my money swooshing on my skin. This is also a reason I never asked for a comdev title, and this is also why lot of comdevs cleared their titles too.

We became douchebags because we're here for a long time, every day people ask the same things, because the forum is a complete mess... Trust me we're not like this irl, clandestine is a good example, he's a good guy, sadly this forum went so wild that he now have mental disease (Kappa)

Whatever, this bot have a bad advertisement policy, and also a poor management attention, I gave up a while ago.

I'm inviting you to check the forums multiple times a day, every day, and try to keep up with the questions asked here. Specially once the bot goes down for Maintenance for 2.5.0 until it comes back up. Then once it comes back up and we get an influx of new users. You either stay long enough to go completely insane about the inept questions asked or you leave early enough and keep a shred of sanity.

But seeing from your posting habits, you don't stick around the forums, you don't try and help other people, you rather go around and insult people that actually try to help people. So yes, you get your "unacceptable" treatment, because you are in it for yourself and only want things that benefit yourself. If Tony (not tonyx, tony who works buddystaff) would be as active here as he is in other subforums, I'm sure the demeanor of people would change, but besides pushedx and exvault noone from buddystaff is ever replying to support requests or other issues, it's all down to the community and since we're not getting paid but actually are paying customers this lack of interaction from buddystaff ticks us off too.

To get back to the topic at hand, you want a banner with the bot status. Have you seen *any* buddystaff in this thread? No. So your idea was DOA - dead on arrival. It's not needed, there's the update thread and that's it. Plus, if you were around long enough you'd know that there is only 1 Botbase, that works for all platforms. So why would we need a banner for global/steam/etc if it's the same base? This highlights your blatant ignorance of how things work even more. Deducting from what you post, it seems clear to me that you have not invested any amount of time into how things work around here and what all is possible, so why should anyone else invest more time than you into it?

In general,it all boils down to: If you can't invest 5 minutes into reserach before asking questions, why should someone invest more time into trying to help you? It's a very simple mantra which I adhere to, and it takes less time for me to tell you that you're stupid and easily triggered then trying to fix your issue. So don't expect a change here.

I will now wait about 2 weeks for you to pop up again and complain once more.
