"Just the same as a 400 Hz and 600 Hz signal look the same at a 1000 Hz sample rate," <--- This makes no sense as Blizzard can just check the player location when a mailbox was accessed and ban the player if they wanted to.You honestly have no idea what you're talking about. You are correct in saying that Honorbuddy is capable (to a certain extent) of doing things that a normal human player can't. Some examples are 'seeing' objects that aren't within the camera view and using spells while that chat box is open. Honorbuddy isn't about exactly replicating human behavior, it's about EMULATING behavior. Just the same as a 400 Hz and 600 Hz signal look the same at a 1000 Hz sample rate, Honorbuddy's behavior looks the same as a normal player's behavior from a memory standpoint and from a server standpoint. Who cares if Honorbuddy can access a mailbox through the wall as long as from a software standpoint it appears to be player-like.
I am pretty sure if Blizzard wanted to they could put checks in place and see if a player accessed a mailbox from a location your not supposed to be able to.
That being said, being able to access the mailbox in a way the normal player wouldn't be able to do is unfair.
Adding to that, it was only accomplished through a third party program, honorbuddy.
Overall, the software can tell if a behavior is botter/hacker like by checking where you were when you accomplished the task and if it is possible without third party programs. You make no sense.Who cares if Honorbuddy can access a mailbox through the wall as long as from a software standpoint it appears to be player-like.
IT FUCKING SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN POSSIBLE, THEREFORE IT IS HACKER/BOT LIKE. UNDERSTAND? ffs what am I talking to a brick wall?
Some values are just not possible, The server can use a simple formula to handle certain things. The server has the ability to check the location from where you accessed the mailbox. Therefore if Blizzard wanted, they could disconnect you if you access it from a particular blackspot/blacksport area, and even ban you. Now I know Blizzard probably reads these forums. But, I'm sick of you thinking you can just crush other people's stand points without giving reasoning as how they are invalid when they do have validity.
They probably do have logs of your character position when it accessed the mailbox, and I'm sorry if any of you gets a ban, because of this idiot. He is just too stubborn for his own good.
