Just wanted to say I called the ban :P although i did guess it was gonna be 5/21-28 and happened on 29...

Duh guys, think they are really gonna put all those manhours into that dupe crap and not ban the botters too?

Also, it looks like they were banning running accounts at the time, and not offline bots, but thats just my guess.

Instead of "calling" the ban, I knew it would be coming because of this thread

Obvious bot is obvious - Forums - Diablo III

...it gained so much momentum that I suspected blizzard would have to please the forum whiners again. The same thing happened with the ZillianOP streamer. Someone saw DB in the stream, posted it on the forums and the thread blew up. He was banned around 12.12 and a few days later, the massive 12.18 ban hit. IMO, this is the real reason and not your speculative "dupe and bot" ban.

All my bots have a shitton of hours played and elite kills, none are banned. This is because I stopped them after the dupe, knowing the attention it would bring.
Also note there little anniversary sales, every time d3 goes on sale, stop your bots.

Im just happy i finally dodged a banwave with some intelligence and not just luck, and also feel better about stopping my bots when i did ;D

But... blizzard has the same banning pattern since d2 was released, maybe learn something.
 
All mine made it through, 12 accounts and 12 spare/mule accounts, didnt stop mine till 8am this morning?
 
I have saved 1000rub on each botting account to buy it just when forum says its safe to bot again.
It was easy to get 1k since 1kk was 40rub.
 
What is the basis for discussion in this thread?
 
I'm not sure either, though it seems people are feeling safe less than a day after the "banwave" started. I'd wait a week or so before I start gloating over it, but thats me....

^Is still botting D3 for cash and not winning the lottery with his profound intuition...
 
I've got one throw account that's been running 24/7 since the dupe. So far it's survived. The others that I actually have some time and decent equipment on I've been more smart about and they're good too so far.
