callarse - AIML Chat Bot

mine doesn't seem to respond to whispers...will it ignore people on your friends list?

not working at all for me

If you are using addons in wow that block whispers(Badboy, spamsentry, etc) it can bug out plugins that handle chats.
So far it has been working out quite well for me. There's the occational "timeout-whisper" error that's a dead giveaway if the people whispering you are familiar with callarse.
Sometimes this happens if people send too long whispers(with a bunch of info), but i have also seen it happen to shorter whispers.

I am running HB 1.9.5.5 though, so could be that it's not quite compatible with 1.9.5.7.

no addons at all, im on 1.9.5.7

the only wisper i got was from a bnet/realID so maybe thats why? idk

That could be it. I don't have any real ID friends on my botting accounts for obvious reasons(it's a bot. Who's he gonna talk to? :P).
Have been getting a few random normal whispers where the bot has replied, and ofc the 20-60 whispers a day with goldspam/phishing attempts/other kind of spam whispers where i don't want the bot to reply(because it looks suspicious if it were to be suspended and investigated). These were in most cases grabbed by Badboy(antispam addon i run in wow), but these spammers are a crafty bunch and they always figure out new ways to lure their way past the antispam addons - so a few replies to those are inevitable.

It does reply with unjointed "engrish", and make little sense most of the time, but IMO that's better than ignoring whispers.

never sent out a whisper even to non player on my friend list needs somre work and it could be really good iam sure!

i think my problem has been listed it doesn't reply to realID people and people on your friends list.

Too often it gives the timeout error problem if the owner/dev could fix that it would be cool.

I looked at a convo today on my priest someone asked for fort and it said something along the lines of what is better a priest or warlock they replied with priest - the bot replied with a time out error they replied with a lol? then the bot whisper with sorry.no and that was the end of the convo....

It inly uses a few different replys like 4 different types rather then being smart

Has anyone ever used *AGT - Automatic Goblin Therapist * .off of wowinterface.i found the conversation kinda funny..

How would I edit this? what file would I open to add new responses etc because I dont mind spending a few hours a editing and improving it with english and good responses.

if you'll open up the settings.xml and change the line, <item name="timeoutmessage" value="ERROR: The request has timed out." />

to something like,

<item name="timeoutmessage" value="sorry too tired to do anything else" />

or whatever, all your base will belong to callarse.

cheers!

Excellent work man, really excellent.

Mine does just saw it respond to a person in my friends list with, "what?" 2 times

nice plugin..
is there any way to make this one for german speak realms? ^^

A bit off topic, is Zeo still around? We were good buds back in the glider days.

Hello Everyone,

I personally use this plugin. Works very nicely with a little tweaking - mainly just to suit my needs.

Recently though my best friend locally installed the plugin and it seems to respond but only within the program.

Eg.

[callarse] - Bobbyboushea Wispered: Hey bobby!
[callarse] adding "Hey bobby!"
[callarse] - Whats up man?
[callarse] - LUA failed! Status (then some upside down T or something afterwards)

Any ideas would be really helpful. He just doesn't feel comfortable botting instances without some form of a shout back.

Thanks,

Debeisus
