Buying a new key.

I'm considering buying a new key. I have absolutely made good use of my current (just expired) key since 2010 and will don't feel that upset about paying for a new one. I'm just curious as to what happens to the profiles on my current key/account that I acquired. Paid and Free.

Also, is there a free questing profile 1-110 atm? (Just looked at Blizzards USD $60 for a character boost and laughed) Thanks
