Building a botting rig, suggestions for components please!

much better, and id stay with a 850w. either will do, heard of xion-pc but never AZZA, if either has a gold/silver cert go with the higher, or the more "rails" the PSU has

i think you could even go a lil bit less for the CPU if your picking that, but either way that system is going to blow the shit out of your older selected one

good job :)

You're missing CD-ROM drive, unless you're going to reuse old one. I would get a high quality PSU like Corsair or Seasonic 650-750 watt one. Get a modular PSU if you want your case clean looking. The Rosewill Challenger has bad cable management, if you care how the inside looks (I've built a computer using this case). It's a little on the smaller side for a mid tower too. Maybe get a Corsair carbide or Antec three hundred two case? Cooler Master is a budget friendly alt too.

rosewill is garbage plain and simple, when i work on peoples computers, i only recommend rosewil to customer i DONT like and kind of want to have a hard time because their garbage will most likely fail/break

doesnt need a cd-rom, maybe a dvd-rom if he is using phsyical copies, otherwise everything can be handled now-a-days via USB stick

unless he has a clear side, who gives a shit about cable managment? idk i always get pulled aside ont hat because i coudl care less how they look, its all about how they perform

i just too my main out of the ATCS 840 and shoved it into a little mid-tower just because , well im not sure, either way case/dvd/removable media/addons like that are always last to be picked, usually with the leftover to save for better main components

on the PSU note, if he is only using 1 videocard, 1cpu (didnt mention aftermarket fan) i really doubt anything that is 750+ (cert) would be much of a hassle
seasonic is really nice, but is kinda overkill. I still use my antec quattro 850w and thats got over 5 years on its back runnin strong

I was also thinking I could wait until closer to Black Friday and try to find some better deals for an i7, 6 core with 64 gb ram.

What about this case? Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER CM Storm Series Trooper (SGC-5000-KKN1) Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

I don't really need a cd-rom drive.

I'm sticking with the 2x evga 480s unless there's something better at that price. I figure $400 for 2x480 is better than 1x580 for $350+.

Gold Cert PSU: Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Hybrid RS-850-SPHA-D3 850W Intel ATX 12V V2.3 & SSI EPS 12V V2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Panel Power Supply with Fan Control

Is the gold certification necessary? It costs twice as much as the others I posted earlier.

Black Friday is just around the corner, might as well wait if you can. Can find some sweet ass deals.

2x EVGA 480's in SLI should outperform a single EVGA GTX 670 ($379.99 for reference model) by a little as long as the game supports SLI, but it's not worth it to SLI 480's at this point. They're old, use more power = more heat and louder fans, probably need 750 watts minimum to SLI those. If you got a GTX 670 you have the option to SLI it in the future if games become more demanding, instead of being stuck with 2x 480's. If you're straight out looking for performance RIGHT NOW get the 2x 480's, if you want some future proofing get the GTX 670. Also, Nvidia is doing a promo right now for the 600 series cards, free borderlands 2 coupon which you can easily sell on Ebay/ Craigslist for $35 to get some cash back. If you have a bank of america cc, you can also get 4-6% cash back when buying from tigerdirect.

Gold certification for PSU is not necessary, but it's a plus.

What do you know... As I was typing this, the UPS guy dropped off my EVGA GTX 670 FTW lol. I first bought a 660Ti and it went bad, so EVGA sent me a brand new one. Decided to just sell the 660Ti and upgrade to the 670. What's funny is I'm making a $33 profit by selling the 660Ti lol.

Thanks for reminding me:

7990~690>7970 Ghz edition>680>670>7950

Both the 7990 and 690 are dual GPU cards costing upwards of $1000 but I am sure you knew this you just couldn't pass up another opportunity of getting publicly humiliated. Crawl back to your whole and don't comment on things you have no knowledge of.

Dont worry hes used to it. Not the 1st thread hes been owned in, wont be the last.

^ are you talking about the thread where we have a minimal amount of 5 people talking shit to you?

You mean the post where you suggested to undercut the rmah by 20%? yeah that is exactly it. Also only person in that thread talking shit to me is you, I just used their names cause they either liked a post condoning that behavior or commented negatively against somebody else that understands economics a little better than a person watching youtube videos.

PS you delusional

and seeing you're not the sharpest nail in the bunch ill define that word for you.
