Things this build excels at: Massive burst DPS, Control, Efficiency
Things this build does not excel with: Close Quarters Combat versus champion packs (Once your cooldowns are up, you're screwed.)

I DO NOT pick up SPIRIT WALK or FETISH ARMY or FETISH SYCOPHANTS due to the bot trying to attack these at the moment. I recommend not picking any of these abilities up until the issue has been resolved.

Witch Doctor Suggested Skill List
My own personal opinion/suggestions for folks wanting to bot this profile with Witch Doctor

These spells can be used in any different order. If you aren't sure how to equip various spells in different slots be sure you have elective mode enabled. (Menu -> Options -> Gameplay -> Check "Elective Mode" under the Interface area)

Sarkoth Profile Suggestions (Inferno)
(Primary) Poison Darts - Splinters {About the best ranged single target spell you have once you have over a 2 second attack speed.}
(Secondary) Wall of Zombies - Barricade {Obvious enough, high damage as well as prevents monsters (outside of teleport of course) from moving (temporarily.)}
(1) Grasp of the Dead - Rain of Corpses {A slow, with a pretty decent DOT in line with it.}
(2) Hex - Jinx {Being able to Crowd Control a target while botting is huge especially if something comes into melee range.}
(3) Big Bad Voodoo - Slam Dance {50% more damage, very obvious choice here.}
(4) Soul Harvest - Siphon {Filler spell, I equip this for those times you zone in, and monsters are waiting at the portal for you.}
-------------------------------------------------------
[Passives: Blood Ritual; Pierce the Veil; Vision Quest]
(Blood Ritual - Bonus Life Regen doesn't hurt. / Pierce the Veil (PtV) - The damage increase helps tremendously. / Vision Quest (VQ)-I'm not there to watch over the bot nonstop and pick this up to ensure it isn't mana draining its self and unable to perform.)

You also want to have a decent attack speed, as of right now (until it's nerfed) seems to be one of the better stats next to intellect and + damage for WD's. BUT with botting, you need to be efficient in killing the monsters as well as collecting the gold. My current offensive stats are:
1.85 attacks per second
13,500-14,000 dps

The settings I run with are as listed below. (Settings tab in the DemonBuddy UI)

Kill Radius: 40
Loot Radius: 23
Repair Dura: 10
-Generic Routine (Settings button under "Main")
I run everything literally off of cooldown, as it sits right now I have tried adjusting the settings for "elite only" and other ones but regardless of my own settings it proceeds to use these abilities anyway. Once bot improvements are made, I can use the build I want to use.

With this current setup I am currently seeing 280-310,000 gold per hour, and could be increased quite a bit since my Gold Find gear is lackluster.

Current Stats: Gold Find - 225% (Including Enchantress)
Movement Speed - 12%
Pickup Radius - 31 yards

Great guide! I'm definately going to try this with my Softcore WD when I get home from work. Almost same stats as you. Lets see how it goes.
Thank you.
Keep it up!

Working on a Arreat quick guide as well, it's honestly not too difficult, but I absolutely love using my witch doctor for most of these runs, (especially arreat etc. rocking 5 pets.)

Thanks ab2008, this is working well for me. Currently level 43 doing Maghda runs for exp.

How would you change your build without the issues you previously mentioned?

The current issue (until it is resolved) is the WD's primary defensive cooldown (spirit walk) currently causes the bot to attack the spirit left. The one ability I would almost most certainly use for "leveling" up would be run some lower level stuff, pick up the zombie dogs + Garg restless giant until you can obtain big stinker and pick up some life on hit weapons.

Another strong ability I would recommend is to use is soul harvest and siphon, anything that can heal you is a huge plus with botting IMO.

This is the build I would use if I were to level another WD:

Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III

Something similar to that, it provides plenty of self healing/oh shit cooldowns and if you are running content that you should be able to roll over fairly well. With that build with a shield + 1h fast weapon and some life on hit items you should be able to take quite a beating. Obviously I would stop using the zombie dogs later on as they lose their luster unless you gear specifically for them. But grinding inferno etc they are more than okay.

I haven't tried the maghda runs yet and I may hop on them with my alt and see how they work out. That build works really well (did for me) while leveling because the firebombs bounce between enemies and always seemed to be the best when dealing with immune mobs since splinters is terrible for them. For boss running the build I would use is:

Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III

Solid single target dps, the gargantuan lasts perfectly fine in nightmare, and strong cooldowns. You may opt to get rid of big bad voodoo, but 50% damage is hard to pass up and I still use it to this day for certain things. Find an offhand with some mana regen and a helm if you can, if not vision quest should be alright.

Set your bats so they fire every couple of seconds to keep yourself from OOMing too bad IMO.

Obviously the templar would be the best to take with you and have him full heal specc'd. (Also be sure to gear him with gold/magic find as his DPS is terrible and is mostly there to be a meat shield at times.)

Honestly it's really user preference. There are a lot of really useful abilities while low level leveling. Some people like frogs, spiders etc etc. However there are a lot of things I would not use until the bot is in better shape etc.

Like I mentioned before, a shield helps so much and you can pretty much face tank low level stuff with some life on hit items.
Dire bats do insane damage (I haven't tested them with the bot though, so mileage may vary.)
Splinters with +attack speed increase so it's over 2.0 seconds is extremely well single target dps and you shouldn't even need dire bats if you have enough int/attack speed etc.

Let me know if it helps ya out. Also one thing you could potentially replace bats with is Horrify with the increased range or the armor increase. The movement speed is well, but the bot is more apt to run AT a mob than away for now and is a waste of a slot.

what do you do with the latest client? generic cant be filled out, i have the same build as you but far superior gold find stats and dps and MS yet not making as much as you?. ALso i notice my bot isnt using wall of zombies

Very nice post. Thanks again for all the info.

I'll be investigating the builds more as I level and this information will be very helpful :)

Ty, the removing Fetish armyu solved my problem of Delay

A recent post by hawker said that in the next build (I think) that they were fixing the WD bug so spirit walk should be viable, and will be nice for the bonus movement speed etc.

then they should also fix that the wd attaks the zombie wall mobs

There are a lot of DH/Wizard posts, and since I have a WD I'd like to see more of these posts!

I'm farming with ~220 Gf and I'm looking at 220-250k GPH.
I have very low dps (9-10k), 12% movespeed, 7 PuR, so there are times that I die while porting. (thank god for spirit vessel)
What Plug-Ins do you use when farming Sarkoth?
I think I could be higher with my GPH so I'm curious about other WD setups

Heya! I've slightly modified my build with the latest test version of the bot today, and am running at around 300-350k GPH at the moment using 269% GF/18 MS/ 29 PUR. It seems to be slightly more efficient, and haven't tried a spirit walk build as of yet as this one is working perfectly fine killing things a bit faster.

I do not use any plug ins, I use the built in loot rules. I would opt to use the plugin so I don't attack anything, but seeing that I don't use a shield, he dies more often than not running past everything.

Here is a screenshot of my current build.

As you can see I opted to go with a VQ build, I opted to go with this build for a couple of reasons. It clears trash extremely fast because I chose not to run the plugin because deaths get expensive and waste just as much time or more if you'd have killed the monsters. I am trying to adjust the settings for a zombie bear build at the moment, but my attack speed is way too fast to consider it (having no 2h and using a 1.8 attack speed dagger at the moment.)

Current settings are:

Kill radius: 40
Loot: 25
Repair: 10

General settings, with everything set to no cooldown. I'd like to use the explosive beast every few seconds but it seems if you choose that setting the bot will use it regardless if there is a monster to attack or not, which I do not like, and the fact that there is no setting to use it *only* on sarkoth (I don't know if he is considered elite or not, I just know the elite configuration does not work, and it registers white mobs as elites the majority of the time.)

i recommend dog spawn so that it distract the mobs on path to sarkoth

Looks like a solid setup you got there, trying it as we speak. Will update when I get to 100+ runs. I like the fact that I'm not dying anymore quite a lot, saves on repairbills and potions.
But I don't like it when my doctor starts attacking the barrels or "opens" the dead soldier @ the spawnpoint, cause they ususally contain nothing thus slowing down the run.
Reducing the range to 0 doesn't work either because then for some reason don't enter the Dark Cellar.

I'm now looking into the option of enabling the SarkothKillWait plugin, with the user settings of casting fear when 1+ mobs are in close range. Thus, hopefully preventing you from dying while TP-ing.

If that doesn't work, too bad, but no harm done. I'm glad to have a set-up which at which I dont die anymore and therefore dont feel the need to babysit!

Edit:
Forgot to mention that I'm using a 1200 dps 2handed axe. Poison darts still work good, I don't feel any need to go Zombie Bears because of the shorter range since I will die pretty fast due to my low HP.
I use other loot rules, I'll attach them in case people are curious. It loots flawless square gems, picks up magic +, sells <60 and salvages >60. These are not my own, found them in a post from Hatefull. Credits go to him.

It's not the 300-350k you we're talking about but it's something, al though it seemed to slow down at the end so th GPH could have been higher.
Bought some more gear, 239% GF, 19% movement and 18 PuR as we speak. Ditched the 2hander for a snake offhand with +20% GF.

This is hands down the best build for Sarkoth. My zombie dogs when i explode them take out all the minions and then Pile On on Sarkoth pretty much kills him if need be splinters to clean them up. Literally a 5 second kill maybe even less who knows never really timed the kill. =p

The only problem is that Sacrifice doesnt work well with DB as soon as i spawn the dogs they explode. If you try this build out manually you can see how awesome the damage is, but if somehow someone can get Sacrifice to work properly with DB that will be awesome.

Ya spirit walk is nice, with the increased duration rune it can almost get you right into the cellar
