Budget barb gear to farm Act 1 Inferno elite packs.

do you guys use a special config for the belphegor routine or just default settings?
Mine are default except I turn off avoidance completely, checked spam war cry for extra fury, and leap on cooldown because I use iron impact. I heard some people are turning off avoidance except for arcane and poison, but I'm can't say how well that works. Avoidance all on definitely messes up a barb using frenzy and life on hit, though.

try to reach these stats, posted by Bertrand, this should work pretty good!

This is my barbs (dying once every 4-5 hours probably due to getting stucked against wall from nightmarish)

-60k hp
-165-175 without 5nv
-30k dps fulyl buffed
~700 reasist all

Take a note when you are building babrs, imo the 2 most important defensive passive are superstision (20% elemental reduction coz the only way ur bot can die is if he accidently stands on top of arcane source), pound of flesh, and i usually go with berserker rage as it is the best offensive skill imo.

my barb does "only" around 18k dps, works pretty well, too ;)

what you should search for in ah when first starting out is 90 vit 90 str and 60 ar anything past that is bonus. as a barb specially if you run the build i use here you dont need much dps eq and wotb do all the work for you. you want to foucs on armor ar and vit since str gives armor and dps its great. if you can get crit thats fine but i wouldnt waste the money on crit if you run the build i use. For weapons i have 650 dps weapon with 500 loh and empty socket. pretty cheap weapon. I put another 300 loh gem in it. for grand total of 800 loh its all you need.

also i turn avoidance completely off and i put leap on cd and i put wotb and eq aoe to 20 so it only uses it on elites.

yep it's an awesome build even with shitty stats! eq and wotb usually wipe everything out. Use the plugin for nv stacks and you can really pump up your mf. You might die a bit more but you'll find much better stuff.

You don't need extremely awesome gear to farm in. To make the point, I spent less than 5 mil on one barb. Here are her relevant stats:

32k hp
10k dps
800 res all
12k thorns
900 LoH/5.7 life steal (with bloodthirst)
8k armor (with skills)

skills:
ignore pain/ignorance is bliss
war cry/impunity
leap/iron impact
rend/blood lust
frenzy/sidearm
revenge/provocation
bloodthirst
tough as nails
inspiring presence

Usually I run with sprint/marathon in act 1, but act 2 is smaller and I traded it for rend. I just watched her take on 2 champion packs at the same time without dying. She usually has 4 or 5 deaths per hour, but it doesn't matter much because I'm using Profile Switcher.
