There's very little blues during treasure hunter, bot will not get stuck because of that unless you got a freaking backpack and no other bags. Tested it on few chars and if you will refuse to acknowledge it still I will proceed to take a video.
Furthermore I do believe your profile should be taken down from being listed as official buddy team products, simply because it doesn't live up to the standards. Every other Buddy Team profile get by this "problem" without any issues by simply not selling god damn honor gear.
Surprise surprise - no stucks because of selling items despite getting tons more blues during questing than during treasure hunting. No other Buddy Team profile has a problem with that, yours is the only one, I'll let you draw a conclusion on which profile was written poorly yourself - was it all other Buddy Team profiles, or yours.
It's just a bad practice for a profile to do that and that's all.
You seems to make a good profiles, but the problem is you get so damn defensive about your work you are not open to any improvements, it's a really bad practice and a really bad resulting product that sells honor gear. I've been using hundreds profiles from here including user made ones, and yours is by far the only one to do that, all the other profiles are doing just fine without selling honor gear.
Would love to see a simple change in profile so it doesn't do that anymore, but I'm already prepared for seeing someone get more defensive than normal person should and long-ass list of excuses...
You
only tested this on a few characters? Well if you weren't aware, in order to properly test a profile that's going out to over thousands of users, you're going to need to test it on a lot more than just a few characters.
It would be inconsiderate to assume everyone has massive bags, and that they would never get full.
There is a lot more than "very little" blue armor/weapon treasures out there considering that there's 22 in Shadowmoon Valley
alone.
And given it's not even one of the bigger treasure zones, I think my reasoning for setting blues to be sold is justified and that your claims of this only being an issue if you only have a single backpack isn't.
As of date, I've personally tested these profiles on over 80 characters, and over 3/4ths of them had issues with the bags being full - hence why the decision was made in the first place.
Even Hawker himself stated that blues should definately be sold. This same reasoning is also why Blues are set to be sold in the Kick questing project.
Given blues are sold and knowing that some people (for whatever reason) bot with valuables on their character, I've clearly typed on the front page that blues are sold.
This way users are aware so that they can simply set their override via the Settings & Tools menu.
Super simple, and it's an overall considerate solution. No biggie at all right? The choice is there and the profile won't get stuck. All you've got to do is read the front page.
I don't get defensive, but when you completely ignore the instructional text on the thread, go into a profile blindly without considering anything, then try to pit your own mistakes on me and claim it's a profile problem - that's a bit frustrating.
If you'll notice above
tomten2 has been super helpful in critizing, suggesting improvements, and reporting bugs and I've not once got defensive over it.
He has been very constructive and nice throughout this whole process unlike you.
From your first post you had agressive intentions - and I understand why, your gear was sold. But as I've said multiple times, you should've taken the time to read the thread.
Selling blues by default
is not going to be removed simply because like I said before, this would cause more problems than it would solve.
I've made it clear on the front thread that blues will be sold, so it's assumed users like you should read this and set overrides acordingly.
