Buddystore for Demonbuddy

we will enable Buddy Store for Demonbuddy after some tweaking BStore needs

I dont think it was a good idea to announce beforehand, now people might hold their profiles until then. Theres already a lack of good bounty profiles like there used to be :( .

we will enable Buddy Store for Demonbuddy after some tweaking BStore needs

i'm excited for this, time to revert all my attention back to Diablo 3, been waiting for this, HB is great but with all the bans i think ill take a break for Craft for now

Maybe you should fix your bot before asking for more money?

The bot is fine... the profiles you are running are broke there are only a few good profiles out there.. but the RIFT profile is good.. ran it for 7 days straight now

It's not the profiles that cause ReadProcessMemory errors, rift guardians not appearing in list of minimap markers and navigation stuff being completely broken on some of the new maps.

It wont work..

The time and effort of getting a product up on the store, for the money a dev would make... Pointless.

Don't get me wrong.. The effort that goes into pushing a product into the store NEEDS to be there- prevent abuse..

However, Whilst pleasure bottters do buy stuff- a good chuck of people that PAY for stuff of the store, and bottters making money....

They would support a large percent of the store...

There is no money in d3 anymore..(well very little).. and if they pushed a store, I would see perhaps 1 or 2 products on offer and that's it

if you want to kill the community then yeah add buddy store please... we gonna be out of here faster then you can click logout ;) ... don't get me wrong its not that i`m not willing to support with donations. but i am not willing to pay a monthly fee over a monthly fee ... i`m already paying for the bot. "OHHH BUT THAT WORKS SO GOOD ON WORLD OF WARCRAFT" ... fine don't take my advice go ahead and commit suicide what do i care ....

I have donated quite a few times to several different contributors on this forum; I'm not a leecher, as there are here in the thousands. Still, I don't know what to think about this. It feels bad, it smells wrong.

It is my personal opinion that the BS (buddystore) have done quite more harm than good to Honorbuddy. Any decent profile or plugin(and when I say any, I mean any) will be in the store now, quite frequently massively overpriced. Bossland should be the one setting price on the different products, or that will keep happening.

Now, I dare you, go find 1 decent profile in HB general forums. If you find, they will dissapear in no time when the dev stops the beta testing and moves it into the store.

It has seriously affected the "soul" of this website. It's no longer a group of buddies. It's all about the money now. And, again, it's not that I care, I do have the money and do donate. I understand devs deserve a recognition.

I know I'm not the only one that thinks so. A few friends switched from HB to other bot because of this. A few of them went rogue, which is clearly a backlash of this "everything for sale" politic for buddyproducts.

I hope things are different than in Hb Store, I really do. If not, I'm afraid that exactly what has been happening for the last couple of weeks (all DB devs suddenly stopped posting updates in their threads and gits and developing FREE content) will be the norm.

And, it has previously been told in this same thread, there are quite a few improvements that could be done to core-basic demonbuddy before it can be considered ready. I don't think there's a single user that uses DB out of the box ; plugins , profiles and routine modding files are a complete necesity .

Fix the product we payed for to be, at the very least, a basic option, and then do as you please with the Store. But first is first!

EDIT :Trying to find additional options for funding the devs and avoiding leeching non stop, probably using a "contribution" system similar to OC could work. Creating specific forums for contributors with advanced profiles, plugins, etc.And Bossland could use the contribution rate to reward devs as they consider fit. Sure it has complications, but sounds much better than the store.

I for one don't support the notion of paying for the bot and then paying MORE for profiles

I'd pay $5/month to have all my plugins auto updated. On the flipside, I've spent hundreds of dollars on buddy products over the years, and am kind of annoyed that plugins like Trinity are a necessity for Demonbuddy, when that kind of functionality should be integrated...

and another note.. it works for HB so it should work for DB just the same... in case you are whining saying there is no free scripts.. check the HB store im pretty sure i see free ones on there too.. so Cheers:cool:

Only difference being that HB has ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT more users than DB.

All the guys updating profiles here stopped posting anything 10 days ago, I looked at their history today. It looks like demonbuddy is going to fade into the abyss as time passes. D3exploit continues to be updated and is working very well on all but greater rifts. I will shed tears when this bot no longer runs greater rifts. I have been running both for sometime one bot just doesn't cut it with the low level of support here.

PS: I like demon buddy better, would pay for working profiles if they opened a store.

I would definately support this and liek to see this implemented (I have used honorbuddy in the past and liked the buddy store).

I don't understand why so many people dislike this idea.

Let's say you're a professional coder, or dabbling in it is part of your professional life... In short, you are being paid for your skills in a career and they are at a professional level. These skills are similar or translate well to developing here.

You can make amazing things. You have your own personal versions of Trinity and have changed/optimized/created every plugin and profile that you use. Your gaming experience is 100% AFKable and any feature you can imagine within the constraints of the Buddy system are available to you. Anytime that the game updates, you update all your own files the next time you sit down at your PC, no waiting.

You have a Re-logger and setup windows/demonbuddy so that it plays game sessions at random intervals, opens and closes the game, acts exactly like a human while playing, adjust profiles to any build you see fit as you decide to change your playstyle in game. Because of this, your bot plays as good as any human, and you will never get banned because you will never look like a bot.

^If this was you, would you want to post a profile for free use here? Your hard work and effort that works perfectly for you, then some new member comes along and says... Well you know what those posts say. And if you don't, you're probably "that guy."

^However, if this was you and you could post profiles for money, would you make your work available? You likely won't make as much as in your professional life but it is some compensation for all of your time and effort. It will also weed out all of the leechers, complainers, and new-members-who-can't-read-instructions.

There are simply too many people who do not give enough appreciation for the developers. I see a lot of demands, complaints, and even flames. When did everyone forget that you paid for the bot, not the profiles and plugins? Demonbuddy is designed as a platform to use to create what you want, some people are nice enough to post their work for your use, free of charge.

Look in all of the profiles you use now, out of dozens and dozens of pages, how many THANK YOUs are there? And how many complaints are there? Now imagine you made that plugin/profile and spent 100 hours making, testing, updating it, and maintaining a thread. Would you be willing to even keep going? Many people don't. If they were getting paid for it though...

I think some people also forget that having a paid system in place, which runs through the DB gateway is more secure... It would be easy to get updates. Hell, people can post their ratings of the work at hand. It would make a paid developer have to abide by the community rules and be more responsible to their paid users.

...Anyways, I could go on for days about this...

The main profiles work relatively well, but are not always without issue. Many people who are posting their first few tries at profiles are nowhere near polished or AFKable. This happens with plugins as well. Typically we are seeing a few main people updating or maintaining current product and profile lineup and we rarely see a newcomer make a difference right away (But they are definitely here!).

I have already sent donations and paid for profiles when people asked for it. Typically the quality of work is much higher in the BETA stages, and testing/updates are done daily or weekly. BuddyMe's KeyBot was a perfect example of this. Great product, great response time to bugs and very polished experience. He even created a GUI within DB to track the statistics and types of keys gained, number of runs, etc. All I wanted was an AFKable Keybot, what I got was mindblowing. Money well spent.

Listen, you will never have everyone saying "YEAH! Let's pay more for something!" but let's imagine this scenario:

What if the option was:

  • FREE Version of "Adventure Bounties," 80-95% AFKable, no cost, updated everytime it completely breaks or a new patch breaks it. No incremental updates for added features. If it works, why fix it?
  • $10 PAID Version of "Adventure Bounties," 100% AFKable with developer support for issues. Updated weekly or monthly for general bug fixes, ease of use and quality of life. New features are added to improve gameplay as they get suggested. Developer frequents their thread and directly responds to credible questions and bugs.
    • ToNyX version of GearSwap (for example) was completely free. I sent him random PMs and explanations as a random user and guess what? He implemented an entire new feature. He did this with EVERYONE'S suggestions. Props to him for doing it so well for free. I can only imagine what it could have been if we paid him for it.

Which would you use?

OMG Longest post ever!

Summary: We need this. It's good for Devs, it's good for end users, it's good for the Buddy team. Everyone wins.

it wouldn't kill the community... and it does work with WoW, if you want a profile 100% working.. then the person making it should get $ for it, so what if its 10, 15, 20, or 30$ if its 100% working with automatic updates when the releases then yeah i would pay my money for that.. not everything in life is FREE. and thats the problem with today's society and the fucking liberals we have in the states.. all they want is free shit. gimme gimme gimme they say.. but it takes away the money from the people that actually work their asses off to get money. a bunch of fucking freeloaders.. anyways sorry about that rant, a DB store wouldn't ruin the bot it would bring more scripts and people would work hard to keep the up 100% of the time like WoW
