Buddystore customer support question...

I submitted a ticket to them a few days ago and after the usual back and forth they've just replied asking me for my password.

Is this for real? I thought customer support never asks for that sort of thing?

Basically I'm asking to make sure its legit and needed. Still can't imagine why a system that doesn't require such personal info wasn't implemented but I guess it is what it is. I know I've provided my email to a site I assumed was safe and after years spam free my personal email gets tons of spam from some scumbag.

Anyhow, has anyone been asked for their pw? I figured I'd might as well ask here before I hand it out. In that case safe much > sorry.

We cannot imagine the Bossland GmbH front office asking you for your password. But, we don't know the details of the back-and-forth, either.

First, did you contact them at the right address? [email protected]

Second, were you able to prove you were the owner of the session key with a proper email used to purchase the key, and the transaction id?

If so, I can't imagine why they would need the password. You can always PM Tony and ask if this is legit. I would not continue to air such things in the forum, as people frequently get careless and leak information they shouldn't. As such, we're going to close this thread. Just make certain 1) You are using the right email address, and 2) PM Tony to verify if uncomfortable.
