Bought 4 unmerged accounts > week later all suspended SAME TIME

I bought 2 unmgered accounts, though only merged one onto my b.net, and gave one to my brother..

Bought and merged 1 account so far without an issue. Used SoR on it, bumped a level 1 to 80 as well. Still not banned.

I imagine as long as the BNet account you added the unmerged account to has the full name of someone who you can get a full scan of their state-issued ID, you can get it unlocked quickly. I created a new BNet account with my real full name in the event that happens.

the real reason you got banned is because those accounts you bought weren't made in the country you are in. They see all these IP's from around the world go to one single IP address, and ta-duh! they know you bought them, and are now banned. the one that didn't get banned was made in a proximity close enough to possibly you. When I took a trip to Brazil from California, USA, my account got banned the moment I logged in down there, but it was mine, so they unbanned it after I sent photo-ID.

The original account holders name is irrelevant. It's all about the bnet name and having ID to back that up if you get a ban with one off these.

im about to buy another unmerged account. when i get it to 85 (week or so), i will character transfer ($25) to my main account (was also unmerged + SORd) that has my real name on it.

if they do lock it, i can just send in my ID

so sick that it works =P

What are the benefits of adding additional accounts to your main Bnet account if you're not multiboxing?
I get that there is something about the SoR...do you use it to resurrect after you merge to get the 1-80 and the mount? I'm a bit confused.
Are there any other benefits besides having more character slots available?

The poster above you is not adding the additional account to his Bnet- he is going to transfer the free lvl 80 (when 85) to his main wow account. This could be done so that he now has a character in which he leveled in a quater of the time it would have taken normally and will only have to deal with one subscription fee.

As for the SoR- I mean, its quite easy to get to 85 in less than 24 hrs and the actual money/time cost behind doing so is pretty low... so essentially you could make one just to be your bot account and ease your mind on losing the account since it did not cost you as much money/time as your main account.

This was between friends. Every account had a different email on it. We actually bought 5 but the one friend got lucky and still has his account.

Blizzard have probably detected a change in your "Login pattern", since you are accessing them from a different IP and locked them as a precaution.

I have a wi-fi connection which changes IP's frequently at home and I got two of these this week.

I just used the recovery form and am back in business.

Nothing to worry about.

very true. but in my case, they're asking for ID for which i dont have since i used a fake name

made 2 new unmerged however in the last 3 weeks, used my REAL name. so if this shit happens again, i will just snd in my ID =P
