I'm not one of them.

There is very inexperienced botters on the demonbuddy forums, It's actually sort of cute. (no flame)

ANYONE with a few years under their belt dealing with blizzard and how they ban people know pretty much exactly how they link, I've had bans across multiple computers at the same time on the same IP, all gone in 5 seconds, it all depends on the individual who reviews your accounts and how much investigation he does, if you want to chance getting all your accounts wiped out in one go ahead people but I'd rather virtual machine my bots and toss in a V P N too.

Wouldn't V P N be risky considering some one else that is using the same IP as you and is botting away gets caught your also banned? I feel safer with out a V P N in a way, the only time I like V P N is for when I like to hide in Russia and pirate movies saves all the legal notices when I am traced, even then they can still trace it back to my own IP if they bothered.

I'd like to change my answer!

The 2 i had on VMware and v p n were both banned months ago.. Of course they were just Sark farmers and i knew it was coming. But since then i been running 6 D3 accounts, 5-6 Wow accounts all from the same computer, no v p n, no vmware, 24/7 or as close to it as i can and no bans. The way i see it, when your number is up, its up.

And now for a Deep though, with Jack Handy:

"A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. 'Hear that?' you say: That's dynamite, baby."

no vmware, if they see trade logs they see anyways that all accounts give items/gold to one mule. so no need to play lil hide and seek

ok, so some say vmware is no safety net, what would you recommend just running all similtanously on the same computer via the copied D3 folders? if this is done should the bots be rotated?? say 3 bots on 8 hour shifts? this would show the IP being connected 24/7 or would it be better to run all 3 for 8 hours together and rest them for 16?

I'm running 3 accounts on 2 laptops and 1 pc. 1 account for each unit because 3 bots is enough for me. (i'm not that greedy ^_^)

Don't you pay electricity bills? :O
I keep them on a 65w laptop, and have 3 acc running the same time.

a bit laggy but it works.

I have 3 PCs up at the moment, with 1 bot per PC and one PC running 2 VMWares (5 bots total). There are some people happily botting away with 15 bots on one PC without issue. Personally I can't bring myself to do it, although I am already risky enough because I bot 24/7 as downtime allows. I do not trade between accounts though, all my bots are hooked up with authenticators and are each attached to paypal individually.

how long those bots running?

only 1 paypal account?

Do you trade beteween accounts?

Yes, almost everyday. if it finds something usefull i can sell for money or just a lot of gold. if money i sell from my paypal acc. if not i sell to gold, and trade gold. then sell gold. :)

Use a "get another IP" connection, 12 hours a day :) then IP is not the same 24/7, but the mac adress is. but so far i dont have any problems with that.

Of some reason it makes ****** when i try to type it. :)

People play legit multiboxing while streaming... they can't ban via hardware ID because it's not against the rules to have more than one client open (is it?).

even if its not againt the tos. running more then one client from the same hwid and each of them activly playing the game, cant o any more obvious then that ;)
then again many people seem to be running that way just fine.

my guess is that vm and seperate ips give you a chance to safe some account in case one of the account gets flagged, while no vmware and shared ips more or less guarantee massbans. if thats worth the time effort and overhead is up for debate i guess..

well reasoned and well said

vm waste of resources. slows down your bots, limits the amount you can have, and is tinfoil waste. blizzard doesn't care. they dont check and scan anything. warden flags you or not. do it if it makes you feel safer, thats about it. waste of resources though

check the ban forum, vm machines get hit the same as everyone else during the waves. some ppl get banned, other's dont. there's no tangible discrepancy between vm and not, they get banned equal. in the meantime you're slowing yourself down.

never have, never will use it. I only have 4 d3s open at once (though? lol)

For those of you running multiple bots with no VM, do you use Apoc's D3 Starter by itself or with Y.A.R. ?
