Hi,
I've started botting a few days ago, and have been reading through some topics, and I haven't been able to find anything about botting with 1 account.
I want to know if botting is checked depending on the account or the character?
In other words, does blizz check the amount of time played on the characters (so 15h on one would be suspicious) or on the whole account (5h on 3 different chars each (so 15h total) would be suspicious).
I'd like to know that considering I'm botting on one account atm and am trying to get things up and running on this one before opening a second one

I can't honestly say I know the answers to your questions, but I've been botting on one account for around two, or more, years. I can't remember exactly when I started botting. When I first started, I even let it run over night, while grinding, which nowadays is dangerous to do. It seems Blizzard tracks grinders now, or at least that's the rumor I've been hearing. Anyway, I'm not one that bots for money (be it RL money by selling gold, or in-game money by farming mats and other sellables). I bot mainly because I suck at playing the game by clicking or button pressing. I let the bot do all my quests because I get bored questing, and when I can actually run things, I let the bot handle my rotations. I also use it to grind for things like the baron mount, or fish to level professions for raiding, and at times I even let it do things for achievements. Basically, my bot does all the boring, dirty work I don't want to do.

Sometimes I'm on one toon for more than 10 hours, and other times I'm across 12 toons for a couple of hours each, or less. It all depends on what I want to do that day. But, all in all, I babysit my bot while I'm using it and if it looks like it's doing suspicious things like getting stuck, or being repetitive, then I log out of that toon and log a new one for a bit.

I hope these ramblings give you some insight, and are somewhat helpful in what you wanted.

Thanks for the tips, I intend to do the same, make it do boring stuff I don't want to do. But at the same time it would farm mats and all for me as well
