Afternoon all,

Just wondering if its any "safer" to bot on a realm that is quite dead?

After the tripwire I did some research and transferred to a realm that was really really dead, been running gatherbuddy for 20 hours per day and maybe seen 1 person so far, who whispered me saying "hows it going?" so I replied as normal and even offered him a place to farm decent amount's of herbs (I'm only really after the ore as I can sell ghost iron at a decent amount on this realm), he was happy and flew off..

Will blizzard be monitoring these "dead" realms as much as lets say outland?

Many thanks,

i9

i would say it is indeed safer. But there i no real reason to stay on a dead realm. No Friends. No Members. Not much AH Auctions. Not much people that would buy GOld from you.

So there no real reason why you should bot on a dead realm. it is useless ><

Hmm true, although im not finding it hard to sell the ores at the moment, just a bit scared how much to put on the AH as there was not that much there before I arrived so I buy out all Ghost Iron Ore and resell at a tiny mark up, will this get regulars pi**ed off with me and lead to reports :(

dead realm = 2 botters and the ah is overwhelmed.

When I farm ores I almost never sell them at the AH, or I sell a very small amount there, usually I try to find guys that buy them on COD.

About botting on dead realm (I've never done this but I guess that it could work), if its easy you could farm up shit load of gold, then transfer to another realm.

Now since you can't transfer with more than 20k gold, what you can do is spend all that gold on valuable items that you can resell on the new realm for at least the same amount of gold, and the new realm should be a realm where you can easily sell your gold at a good price.

bot on a dead realm via cross realm invite = gg

Ill level more 90s here and transfer then to my actual realm think this is my best option for a dead realm :)

my home realm is dead, has been since cata dropped. i raped the ah before i started botting and everyone knew me, my alts, and my alt's alts. this lead to many player reports and many many accounts banned before i finally left that realm.

so i moved around from realm to realm getting ban after ban. I finally changed my ip, mac address, machine id, and finally got blizz off my back about 11 months ago. havent had a ban since. Moved back to my home realm, told no one who i was. leveled a guild to 25 and have botted the same profile in jade forest for 2 months straight, 3-4 hours a day, 3 days a week.

i am a strong believer in player reports. take it how ever you want.

Less populated realms means less chance of a player report that's common sense. It doesn't mean you wont get banned or that blizzard wont catch you it just means less chance of getting reported by another player :)
