We all know that botting is a one-way road. After you started botting, it is virtually impossible to stop doing it; you simply cannot stop botting and start farming your money the old way.

It remembers me of the red-pill, blue-pill dillema from Matrix movie.

The question is: Do you get MORE FUN or LESS FUN from the game comparing to when you did not bot?

I myself miss the times when I did not bot, and I had to play by hand.

At first i just used the bot to gather. Then to quest, Now bot even press the buttons for me, all I have to do is move the *&&?$* ASDW keys....

No more skill, no more fun. There is no reason in doing things if I can just buy the BOE gear from the AH.

I love botting, and I will keep botting. But WOW is no more fun for me. Some time ago when wow patches and bots stop working for one day, i played a bit by hand, and had some fun again!

What do you think?

I agree partially, i think that botting opens up new fun within the game. I now find myself playing the auction house more, and when i get a really big sale i feel like i have achieved something, even if it is goods that i have used by means of cheating the game i still find that opening a mailbox with 10k in it gives me a sense of fun. However on the other side of the fence i find that trying to level by hand is just excruciatingly boring and such a pain in the ass, and farming for some trade good by hand just feels wrong.

So i think it can work both ways to be fair

i wouldn't be playing wow if i didnt have a bot. But then again, i dont play because i have the bot. I find that HB is probably the only reason i have wow. I just like to push it to the limit when it comes to botting, still keeping it safe like not farming uldum.

all in all. Botting for me is the only way to play wow

After starting botting, for me less fun.
I know the first day i played wow.. it was magic, epic like..

And now? Whats 10k gold? Nothing. But if you play self its a lot of money ingame.

WoW makes at this moment no fun for me^^ But i cant stop to play it ;) (Not much, maybe 2-3 hours per week)

Without a bot, the grindfest we call World of Warcraft would have ended long ago for me.

Pretty much the only thing I do in wow these days, is to program ccs and test them.
I dont need to farm gold as i pretty much earn all the gold I need from LFR. People whisper me every time I win something, if they can buy it. Minimal effort - 20 to 50 k gold per item.

I find it more fun to be able to slack than to do everything by myself
And I love to do dps fights against people and see them loose to my bot

This bot has put more fun into wow for me for sure, and saved me alot of time. If it is something wow does to you it is steal your time, thanks to HB I can focus on the good stuff when I play and let the bot do the tedious stuff while Im washing dishes or doing something else. The world should praise those who improve peoples lives like the HB-team has, instead of punishing them.

That's for sure. I think blizzard should write a letter of appraisal to Bossland, thanking him for making the life of so many wow players easier hahahaha...

For me, it's more fun. I don't have to spend alot of time gathering myself, I set the bot up for that. True, I use LazyRaider and Combatbot for alot of fighting too, but for me, it's great to be able to take part in the LFR without being concerned about 'pulling my weight'. I could never heal as well with my toons as they do with HB - although I could maybe approach the DPS I do with my Pally... but that's it.

WoW in and of itself has long lost my attention. The game is crap and I'm sick of it.

Writing profiles, plugins and classes for the bot is a whole different ballgame. I don't play WoW anymore as a player, I play "HonorBuddy - the Game" and see the effects of that game in WoW.
I don't set goals for a character in WoW anymore, I just set goals for my army of ants. How can I optimize GuildXP? How can I perfect the Dailies routes? Which character needs better gear to be able to do dailies and how do I get it? How can I get the Stay Classy achievement in my guild?
It's still a game but WoW is only one of the tools of the game.

More fun for me. I rather play a character at level 85 right away rather than spending months leveling it just to gear it just to maybe start playing with it and not even like it in the end.

1-85 in a week is the way to go.

I've botted a long time now in almost every game. Aimbot, mining bot's, glider, farming bot's you name it. I just can't play game's legit anymore beside's for MOBA's and even then I used Leaguebot (MOBA version of lazyraider) for a while. I all around quit FPS's on the PC since I was addicted to finding the best "legit" aimbots. And bot's weather they be IRL robot's or game bot's. I'm addicted to them and figuring out how I can make them better and stuff. Without botting I wouldn't have even wanted to learn coding, but now it's all I spend my time doing. Reading E-books and seeing what I can make. I spend ALOT of time on gamedecption and ownedcore reading code and trying to figure out how it all works.

I'm Allen and I'm addicted to Bot's. :)

I played battlefield (the new one) for some time, until I "tried" the Artificialaiming bot... rofl... I could do things like 80-2, with autofire on and a 360 degree auto aiming stuff. No more fun, quit the game. Then I realised that the Artificialaiming site makes aimbot for "every" FPS... no more fun in any FPS. :)

I guess I should start coding myself to get the fun back, just like someone said back here... a "new game", coding CCs.

This is actually what I came here to say. The bot has the possibility of removing the 'fun' aspect from WoW if you were only there for the 'epic lootz'. Most aspects of the game are designed such that a new users has to go through a long, arduous grind where they are constantly outshined by players simply because they've been at the grind longer. PvP is particularly bad about this.

However, the reverse side is that I very much enjoy working with and writing code for Honorbuddy. It's very interactive- I enjoy being able to alter my code and immediately see my character behave differently in game. There is a lot to enjoy about botting itself, provided you are either a programmer or are willing to learn C#.

yeah I farmed up most of my gold and awesome stuff manually over the years. I feel so stupid for wasting my time when I could have using a bot and doing other things with my time. The day I get banned is the day I stop playing. I only bot now because I find making gold fun :D

I have other things to do outside of botting. I simply bot when I'm not around so it has no effect on how I enjoy the game. When I do play, it's not as if the bot is capable of progression/competitive arena so it again has no effect on my game-play.

I've always been a fan of afk accumulation of wealth, so for me it makes the game more fun ;3

This x1000.

Sure, I run the occasional dungeon with some longtime friends, but optimizing resource acquisition is just more satisfying.
