Botters going to feel the hammer pretty soon. (Blizz will scan Computers)

The only thing "new" here is the specific Anti Cheat screen during the Battle.net account creation process.

The concept, the forced agreement, pretty much the wording, the implied but rather empty threat, not new.
 
Not to mention, someone will find a way to block the scanning process or divert it. Thats just show and tell for the non botters.

If Blizz bans all the botters, they will lose half their annual revenue.

Wouldn't it be incredibly easy for the WoW programmers to shut down WoW if the scan fails to start/find any processes at all?
 
Have this reached the surface today? '(22.11.2012) So if i logg onto World of Warcraft, when i come home from work the blizzard launcher, or wow.exe 32-bit will scan the rest of my computer for my honorbuddy program then ban me for using a third party program? Yes or No answer will suffice.
 
If blizz really want to give the botters a ban hammer - why haven't they ? it is so easy to spot them in BG?s, and no need need for a master brain to spot the grind / quest bots either.

Because they tend to leave the botters in open fields, so they can study them. see how they work, see how they interact.
To disable third party programs later on, by creating a mechanism against that behaviour.

I remember when the Warden went into the court system, The biggest argument was "what if someone were to play wow on a government computer." That pretty much won the battle. I'm pretty sure other governments use proprietary software and any thing scanning and reporting back to Blizz would be a giant security threat. You would be amazed how many people I know that had top secret security clearances that actually play wow at work. I have also helped a few years ago decode the infamous screen shot "water marks", They actually tell blizzard what addons you are running and what processes are running in the background. If the government only knew about that one.

It only supports WoW 5.0.4 (16016) x86 currently.

Maybe some1 can take a look at this again :D , if its needed
