I have been boting on one account for over 4 years now and I think its time I share my story 
I started out with Glider in TBC and grinded a warlock to 70, and I remember that just when WOTLK came out glider went down
But thats when I found honorbuddy (through the glider forums) and I have never looked back. In WOTLK I think i boted about 3 chars to 80 (pala, warlock and druid) but it was not until Cataclysm came out that I really started 
Up until this day i have boted 7 chars to 85 (as you can see in my signature) and I have made a total of about 80,000 Gold. I have only tried out questing for a few levels on my hunter but I always found the bot stuck or in an error when i left it on over night. So all my chars are basically grinded to 85. I have not hand leveled a single one of them (lol)
When it comes to encounters with GMs, i have only had one, and i was not there to reply.
What happened was that earlier that day, before i went to bed, I opened a ticket because of some bug or something in VoA. I did not realize he would contact me on another character. But he did (I should have known) And he tried to contact me about 4 or 5 times through the night. Maybe I got lucky and the GM just didn't care? But I still find it amazing that after 4 years of boting I have not been baned.
After flooding the AH with mats. Grinding mobs for 10+ hours a day and not completing one single quest
I think this is a pretty good success story. But now I will stop boting on my main account. I think that its a good idea to stop while on top And now I also have a second account which I only use to farm, and its working pretty awesome, been at it for two weeks now boting 16+ hours a day 
So I just want to thank all the people that has helped build this community and all the awesome plug ins and the profiles. And off course the devs!
