Bot stops working when I turn off monitors- Desktop

The smaller connectors are mini display ports. These ports are essentials for the "eyefinity " function for multidisplay use.

That's what I was thinking.
After I posted that, I looked into it further and noticed there isn't much of a difference between DVI D single and dual link; and DVI-I is the analog so I'm running both monitors on digital; do you have any other ideas?

VGA is not digital... ;)
It's not the output on the GC but the input on the monitor that qualifies the signal while using the DVI connectors. I'm pretty sure you use an adaptor from DVI to VGA.

I have this same issue.. it is caused by the AMD graphics cards detecting when the monitor is off and automatically going to an Ultra Low Power State (ULPS).. this drops your in-game frame rates tremendously.. and makes it so that the bot is unable to operate.

I have not found a work around.. this appears to be hardcoded into the drivers/bios. Even disabling ULPS with TRIXX doesn't work.

Only solution I have found is to keep the monitor on but have it go into its idle state.. When the monitor is idle this does not occur.. only when it is fully powered off.

It also happens when I lock my computer, or when I try to minimize the game..

I currently just play in window mode and alt-tab whenever i want to switch windows.. as minimizing the game window has this same effect.

Hey Akumaburn, it might be on diablo 3's end. Just as a check what do you have the Background FPS setting at in diablo 3? for some reason i think when the monitor is turned of it might put the game into the background and i know the default settings on diablo is 5 or 6 FPS, and the way diablo works is FPS effects your latency.

My background FPS >= 60

No adapter, vga port and dvi on monitor. Going straight dvi to dvi.

Thank you, i knew i wasnt alone! Yeah i've just been switching between monitors off and on, leaving one on to keep the bot going. was going to try to mess with settings more tomorrow, and same here both my foreground and background fps are set to 30ish to be playable for bot but not go crazy with computer resources.

Like i've said, using an adaptor or a VGA to DVI cable is the same (DVI and VGA don't have the same wiring)...VGA port is not a digital output nor input. DVI must be at both ends and use the DVI-D on the GC to be sure that the signal is digital.
