I use the exact same build at home and when i'm away. I use an FTP mirror to make sure the files match exact.
On my home PC, misses no nodes, happy days.
On my poor performing laptop, misses about 35% of nodes. Stops by them, then just flys on. I notice a lot of issues with HB on my laptop even though I'm using the exact same version/build.
This may not be the case for you, but my advice may be to look at some alternative hardware.
