Bot failed to auto update

I know this problem's been mentioned few times here in the forum but I have not yet been able to find a answer for it. I dont use SVN so it's not related.
I can update the bot manually, but making all those changes to the setting over and over is a pain.
So am kindly asking for a solution or simply a way to save my setting so that I dont have to spend that much time setting up the bot.

You can copy your settings folder into a manually updated bot, just not the exe/dll files.

will this keep the settings for my plugins as well?
