Description
Dear community,
Today is the day where your dreams become true.
I’m releasing today the new version of my old project „Followbot“, now under a new name and written for more stability and fast implementation of commands, today it’s just a beta version and maybe this version has some errors so please use this software as u are a betatestuser.
The features of this version are pretty small but useful, this bot follow and fight when u are out of town, it picks up loot and opens chests also as bodies, when you are in town he will stash items (currently all) and follow the leader back out of town (currently supported : town portals, waypoints).


How to install
1. Create a new folder in your ExilebuddyBot folder called „Bots“
2. Create a new folder in the Bots-folder called „ExiledFollower“
3. Download the ZIP-File
4. Extract the Folder "Exilefollower" in the ZIP into the "Bots"-folder in your Exilebuddyfolder
5. Open the "Master.cs" file in your Exilefollowerfolder and change the descript lines to your desire, save
6. Start Exilebuddy and select "Exilefollower.Exilefollower

The rules of this forum forbid me to say “no” but if I find my code in other projects under another name, in other forums without mine acknowledge, I will discontinue this project.

Glad you got this going again. Going to give it a shot as soon as I get a second account caught up to my first and I'll let you know how it goes.
 
In on epic thread, so many possibilities to do with a followbot.

While not having the time to play around with it, will keep updated with progress:)

I don't see any "Bot Settings" in the program once I extract the files and run it. Where else could it be?

Update: Ignore me. I just woke up and didn't extract the files into the folder like I thought. I see it now.

An actual issue came up for me that I've yet to figure out. I have two of the exact same characters started over from scratch in town with no items in their inventory. I set one bot to exilefollower and edit the settings to what it should be, including changing the leader name to bot 2. Bot 2 is set to exilebuddy and is set to fight to the mud flats. When I start both bots the follower bot goes to do a town run and when it finishes it sits there, doing nothing. Even when both are outside it doesn't do anything.

Any reason it will not want to fight or follow the bot? Currently I'm just testing this program to see how it works and will move to more complicated things from there.

Its an error that just for you, did you checked when u playing one by urself?

What do you mean? All settings for the most up to date beta build for exilebuddy is default. I'm assuming bot 1 has to be on grindbot and bot 2 has to be on exilefollower.
 
please double check your settings. its work w/o problems on my pc

Edit: the Followbot just following he has no own logic, so the leader has to be a grindbot or played by urself

Here's the settings I use with bot 1 being leader:

Bot 1:

Invites bot 2 to the party and have both in the same instance
Set to grindbot and mud flat instance in normal

Bot 2:

Sets to exiledfollower in the same town instance as bot 1
configures the leader name to bot 1's name with the following settings:
Open Chest Range: 30
Lootrange: 10
Max Distance to Leader: 5
Combat Range: 45

I then start the follower and then the combat bot. I tried it the other way and it didn't make a difference.

Is there anything else I missed?
 
possible failures could be:
1. NaMeS are casesensitive
2. Follower has no Waypoint

did u checked to play the leader byur self?

Name is right as everything's in lower case and I just got the mud flats waypoint for both accounts just now. What do you mean by "play the leader by yourself?"
 
Bot 1 = Grindbot
Bot 2 = ExiledFollower

please check if it work when u play the grindbot by hand

Nothing's making a difference. It just constantly goes to stash and that's it. It sits there outside of town as well when I manually move it. I even left and came back as the leader.

For reference let's use the following names:

Grindbot's name: bot1
Exilefollower's name: bot2 (Leader set to bot1)
