Depends. Your not really giving us any information on your question. How long does it take to go from 1-85? from what to what? Questing will of course go faster thought if you are able to check on it regularly to fix when i gets stuck.

it will be 1-75/80 i was thinking of doing the grinding instead because i can afk it with more confidence

IMO i would Grind/PvP if your going to grind, 100% grinding is kinda sketchy and may draw attention, but doing BG's and grinding will look a lot less bottish.
