Where would one go to buy the cheapest gold then?
buy a RS emerald for $2 , sell it for 20 mil, 100% through blizz
Where would one go to buy the cheapest gold then?
any clown could invest $2 into a gem, then pop the gold the gem yielded up on the RMAH for a $ profit, then use those profits to buy more gems, etc... How on earth do you expect to get rid of gold in a timely fashion with a system like this? rofl the rmah has an infinite supply of gold while the value of gold is below their price floor, the problem is, no one wants it... but whatever, you silly people enjoy trying to sell your gold for $0.25/m. Everyone who needs things done in a timely fashion will take the market price, while you silly people sit on billions of gold that is depreciating faster than the usd! lol!
1-2 hours ago blizz started with closing bot+rmah-accounts of bigger chinese farms/re-resellers. Price raised about 0.30 per mil. Sounds low, but compared with blackmarket, thats ~10 percent. Dunno if they carry on... We will see.
I've hoped for this for a good while now and seems to be a logical step for Blizzard... but atm it still seems just that .... hope.
I do on the other hand have sincere hope that you actually know what you are talking about and somehow have some inside info.
i study economics on B level so i should know something about this
i hope they get bannede, us honost botters suffer from thisConsidering this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TPpuoOp1YGs#! I am against lowering it!
Guys that say herp derp real economy forget that in real economy you cant teleport farm or dupe or have exploits, real economy work just because no one can bend the laws of physics... yet.

nope, i cant agree there. scamming - dishonest, botting - hard work and honest business.
Oh lord ... aaaaaand here we go.
I will agree that when you rank dishonest or shamed upon things in games... botting would rank lower than scamming but it is in no way an honest business. You are automating something on a large scale that directly hurts every legit player that plays the game. You are fucking him just as hard only he doesnt see it because its just the tip until it adds up to total economy fuckage.
If you for real think botting is an honest legit business then i'd hate to come in contact with your IRL morals. Is rape ok if you're good looking? Or what about if you steal as long as they dont see you?
Sometimes I wish i'd have taken psychology just to understand people like you.
Comparing botting with raping and stealing IRL? Makes sense ye. Scamming is stealing DIRECTLY from someone and if you ever been scammed you'd know the feeling and would realise why i feel strongly against it. Botting might even help a regular player because in the end it might save his personal time(more mats at AH when he wants to level a profession, possibility to buy some bot-farmed stuff(mounts, pets, mats) for cheap off the AH which wouldnt be there if there were no bots etc.) But at least now i can see why some people act so bad-ass here, they consider themself something awesome, like criminals i guess.Oh lord ... aaaaaand here we go.

I wasn't responding to anyone in particular, just a general comment..I took it as he was curious about where to buy cheap gold
words of wisdomA price floor is the lowest legal price a commodity can be sold at. Price floors are used by the government to prevent prices from being too low. The most common price floor is the minimum wage--the minimum price that can be payed for labor. Price floors are also used often in agriculture to try to protect farmers.
For a price floor to be effective, it must be set above the equilibrium price. If it's not above equilibrium, then the market won't sell below equilibrium and the price floor will be irrelevant.
A few crazy things start to happen when a price floor is set. First of all, the price floor has raised the price above what it was at equilibrium, so the demanders (consumers) aren't willing to buy as much quantity. The demanders will purchase the quantity where the quantity demanded is equal to the price floor, or where the demand curve intersects the price floor line. On the other hand, since the price is higher than what it would be at equilibrium, the suppliers (producers) are willing to supply more than the equilibrium quantity. They will supply where their marginal cost is equal to the price floor, or where the supply curve intersects the price floor line.
Basically, lowering the price floor will temporarily increase demand for gold, so you will see a bit more sales going through, but that extra demand will dry up fairly quickly and you'll basically be selling no gold anyways. Fundamental problems with the game need to be fixed in order to increase the demand for gold long term.
I wasn't responding to anyone in particular, just a general comment..
and to anyone who thinks botters help legit players - LOL!
Items might be cheaper, but guess what the cost of these cheaper items is?
Legit players have an impossible time getting a foothold in the economy... Or in other words, items might be cheaper, but they still can't afford them.
Why? Simply consider how a legit player is going to get the gold to buy one of these "cheaper" items...
They will have to sell items...which, because of botters, are worth much less now! So legit players will have much less gold to spend on items, BECAUSE OF BOTTERS.
So in other words, botters are making it even more difficult for legit players to acquire items, not making it easier...even though the price of items has dropped.
It's ironic that someone could think lower item prices benefits legit players, ignoring the fact that legit players would have to sell the items for less to get the gold to buy the cheaper items. The cheaper items is what is screwing over legit players. The economy is flooded with items of all sorts by bots, so anything a legit player finds is completely worthless.... rofl
and the stealing example that someone else put forward is spot on. Botters steal from legit players by undermining all of their efforts in this game. Lol@the sucker who grinded legitly to p100 and lol@all the suckers manually running through a3, bored out of their skull, so they can find something that the mass of botters have rendered almost worthless.
