Why is World of Warcraft losing subscribers, and how can Blizzard fix it? | PCGamesN

World of Warcraft subscriptions drop more than 13 percent; worldwide total now 8.3 million | PCGamesN

Yesterday, we learned that World of Warcraft?s subscriber numbers are falling. Again. At its peak, World of Warcraft reached over 12 million subscribers; today, that number is at 8.3 million, and Activision and Blizzard expect subscriber numbers to decrease further.

World of Warcraft has seen a significant dip in subscriptions over the last three months. Activision have reported a 1.3 million decline in the financial quarter ending March 31, leaving Blizzard?s MMO with a still-enviable subscriber base of 8.3 million.

And i hope they will loose much more.

Today i loose 4 Accs for skilling skinner / leatherworking and the interesting on that is, 2 of my friends lost her accs because i share my IP with their and they dont use any kind of bot. They reduced Perm to 72h but the interesting thing is, Blizzard ban people who dont used any kind of bots. Nice customersupport :)

Yep I lost one of my bank accounts. (no trading or botting done)

I lost one of my accounts. Now i've got only 1 account - main account : |

of course they are, the game Is almost a decade old, they have made it easier and easier and solo friendly to the point that community no longer exists. What did u expect it to be around forever? they still have an ENORMOUS amount of the marketshare, who cares? Most games don't have 10% of wow's subs in the beginning. let alone after 10 years (if they are even around THAT long).. MMO"s themselves have barely been around 15 ffs.
