There is proof that Blizzard can wait to ban you.

Many of us knew this, but many still argue.

I lost an account this week to boredom. i had been running HoL about an hour a day for a week or so. At the time of the closure i was standing in Boulder Crag bolting up some frostweave. Appealed, this was the answer to my second appeal for the same ban.

Indeed - I still see silly ban posts, where people think it's because of what they were doing right at the last moment.

thats common sense but totaly wrong.
Trees don't grow toward the sky. Not only. they also grow in depth (called roots). thay also grow in diameter. (North, east, south, west and everything between)
And if you grow a tree in a closed room with a light source at the wall, they will grow to the side :p

Common sense if you've been playing legit for a week and get a ban it means it's delayed.

To describe the appeal answer above - They know you are botting, and they believe, if you get hit, you will be back with a fresh botting army!

So both sides are happy - Blizz do increase income, and botters do abit more profit!

If you had noticed, we have increased closures on gold-farming botting recently, not casual ones, but pure gold farming, like Dungeon-farm or GB2 etc.


That way, Blizz will get a bit higher prices on the start of the expansion and again - increased sales ;)
 
yea , that ban was over a year ago. i sometimes try to see if i'll get some body different that may change their mind :-)
 
People used to use social engineer and blizzard put a stop to all of that, instead of a person thinking that "this guy seems genuine i'll unban him" it's "follow the code or lose your job".

Its funny how it says "it was detected" what was it that you where doing to get detected in the first place? I never afk and I never will but I do wonder if running the same instances as the chinese gold farmers gave it away. HOL is a hotspot for a ban and you said you did it a hour a day odd right? Dont go near what the rest are farming? :P I am just assuming that was the "detection"

With that there always will be a delay as they have to look into 50 million Player Reports and check that account.
