Blizzard Can Scan your RAM and Active Processes?

The game client may monitor your computer's RAM and/or CPU processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the game.

I was browsing the Ban Forum and noticed that phrase was part of someone's notification email from blizzard stating the person was receiving a 72-hour ban.

Is this a thing? Blizzard can scan your RAM and CPU to see if HB is running?! I've changed the name of the HB executable when I run it to be something else, but is that enough? Are there any other precautions I should take? How do I ensure what appears in my RAM doesn't mention HB or any of the plugins or profiles I'm using?

I've heard of Warden before, I've heard stories that Warden used to be able to scan titles of web pages, program names, open programs, and even simply files on your computer.

I've been using HB on and off for years now,--I've never had an account banned, as I'm not a heavy user and prefer to monitor when I do use, but I'm worried about being caught on a botting account and having my main account banned as well, as it would obviously be under the same IP/MAC address.

Can anyone shed some technical light?

No, renaming your HB.exe file is not enough. No, Blizzard cannot scan your RAM and Processes list as it's not legal. They are doing it somehow else.

I did look through the TOS on their website (Blizzard Entertainment:Battle.net Terms of Use) and don't see any mention of the the words above. While I realize the post may have been lies, it looked legit.

Shrug. I take the precautions I can, and I understand LEGALLY they're not SUPPOSED to (perhaps) but I can see them doing it regardless.
