Hey guys, i dont bot on d3, but just curious what you fellow botters think about that "conspiracy" on official forums about ninja nerfing loot. Have you noticed more "shit" drops 3-4 days after patch ?? Me myself on 1 acc 12paragon had so far 8shit legendaries and 100+ ilvl63 items vendored, Only one decent item for 10mil.

Yes, every patch it gets worse. level 20 paragon and Act 1 inferno dropping mostly level 59 or less WTF?? I get better stuff farming in Hell mode. They want you in that RMAH and this is how they do it. I myself would never spend a dime of real money on imaginary swords. I'll just bot more :p

I got a ring I sold for 40m, multiple new legendarys (most crap but a couple decent) and a lot of 1-5m items in the last 2 days since the crashes were fixed. Either I am lucky, or the loot was not ninja nerfed.

I have found a a few legendaries too, but they were mostly shit. One sold for 2,000,000 and a ring for 10,000,000 but that's about it in the past week. Overall, it seems like the quality of the loot is WAY down.

this patch is ALOT better than patch 1.03 if u farm act 3 or greater. but if u farm act 1,2 its way worse

Kinda hard when you can't find anything that will get you past act1 never mind 3 or 4

For me the very first day of 1.0.4 I found 10 level 63 weapons with under 300 dps and about 2 with 900 dps out of about 15 in total. I really don't think the drops are any different today than they were day 1.

Basically they are admitting to manipulation of the loot drops in this post from their own battle.net forum, this thread was deleted quicker than a fart in the wind of course...

I don't really see any other way to interpret it. That coupled with the fact that this thread was deleted almost instantly after this posting speaks volumes about their real intentions.

what the post means:
drops in this game are balanced around the fact that you can easily trade.
you dont NEED to be able to find an upgrade for yourself, if you can find items for other classes to sell.
If there was no AH, they would need to make it easier to drop items that are good for your class.

there's no "magical manipulation of drops due to current ah trends"

He didn't admit to manipulation, just that they set the drop rate and affix generation algorithms with the AH in mind (i.e. good drops are much rarer than they were in say D2).

Manipulation would be if x level 63 items are up for sale or exist, adjust the drop rate down.

Who knows, there is no transparency into anything they do. They can lie all they want and no one can really prove anything. What I do know for sure is that prior to 1.0.3 when I found a level 63 weapon, even a blue, it was going to have good dps. I think the lowest dps I found on a level 63 weapon prior to 1.0.3 was around 600, and that was the minority. Now the majority of 63 drops are utter crap.

According to you :p That does not necessarily make it so...

Do you realize how much programming it would take to make the servers constantly scan the AH to assign players different loot?
Imagine that you could cancel auctions by chaning the time on ur PC...

5/26/12 is when that post by bashiok was made. He has since clarified what he meant... which is that the drops rates were designed with the AH in mind.

That sounds oddly similar to how I interpreted the post!
What an amazing coincidence?? :P

So here's what I think, been botting and playing since day one. Especially chest exploiting.

I think there is an algorythm that throttles loots based on the amount of people playing. If you clear act III and don't get a single thing worth 500k, there's something up. (@300% MF)

The weekends seem to drop MUCH worse loot than during week days during off hours. I botted act II for the first time last night continually (maybe it was just my bot working for once) and got 3 legendaries. I didn't get a single one the whole weekend in act I. The only time I've seen legendaries before the patch was in the afternoon in act II. I haven't seen a single one in III because for some reason I usually play at night. I'll continue to watch it but this is what I've seen.

It also makes sense. Why would they want people doing only act III to get good loots (quality of afflixes)? It would make much more sense that the change how many good loots drop in total when less people are on to re-supply the AH.

If anyone has noticed the same thing it would make me happy.

I dont know of any conspiracy but I will say that I've been botting with 2 bots for 12-14 hours a day in Inferno act I with only 4-5 deaths per day since the bot came back up last Wednesday... and I've looted a grand total of 1 legendary (Ivory Tower) and just over 20 million gold worth of rares + gold picked up. Also, I'm at 307% magic find with a 5 stack on one bot, and just under 280% on the other. I'm pretty discouraged atm.
