Black Mage rotations?

Hey I was wondering about grinding fate as a BLM while afk.. I noticed in my rotation the bot does not use Transpose (which regens my mana to pretty much full) so because of this my character just sits while waiting for mana doing nothing :s

There any way of fixing this or getting a plugin for it?

Have you tried using a different routine such as ultima?

Ultima is pretty good for leveling / fate grinding.
I use it together with the Quest profiles and let it run fates over night.
No mana issues

If you give me a basic rotation for BLM with can be described in one or two paragraphs, I may be able to throw it together in Ultima. If it takes more then two paragraphs, or you need to link to a website describing it, then it is too complicated for me to put together without being familiar with BLM.

Those are static rotations; the only way I know of to implement them is to keep atempting to cast the current spell in the rotation, and only move on to the next spell when the current is successfully cast.

I would set it to only use the opener if you have left combat and just started it AND all abilities are off cool down.

Then, use timers to stay in the respective Opener or Enochian rotation until a set time limit expires OR the rotation completes.

If not in the Opener or Enochian rotation, run the base rotation, resetting it after it completes OR a set time limit expires.

Does that sound correct? Or is their an existing routine which uses Openers and special conditional Rotations already in Ultima/YRB it should be modeled after?

I couldn't tell since my BLM isn't 60 yet.. but as far as I can tell from the discussion is that BLM's are pretty much sheit DPS if we have to move and get interrupted, and also Enochian MUST be up at all times.

But hopefully someone with a lvl 60 BLM can chime in, as I just found that rotation in a discussion and consensus seemed to be that it was "best sofar"

Try to cast Scathe or any procs when moving to upkeep DPS.

Yes, upkeeping Enochian is the trick for a lvl 60 BLM.

By reset you mean, keep doing it until Enochian is cast-able again? Yes.

They are passives.

Thundercloud - This is a passive acquired at lv.28. This gives any Thunder spell a 5% chance per tick (PER TICK, NOT CAST) your next thunder spell will cast instantly and do it's true damage. Basically, if this procs you can cast Thunder II or III (III if you have it already) instantly and do burst damage equal to your fire spells.

Firestarter - This a lv.44 passive skill. After every Fire spell, you have a 50% chance to proc this passive. When it procs, your next Fire III spell will use no mana and cast instantly. It's a ton of burst damage and can be timed to be cast on the move since it's instant.
