Bitcoin and how does it work?

Since I've seen this post on the main page of the forum about payment accepting bitcoins I gotten into this, is there anyone busy with this and could someone help me or hand me proper information about this?

Ive gotten that far myself cng but like what sites are used for these and what programs because its quite confusing to me as of right now since there is so many different sites telling different things

Either you use the software from the Bitcoin-Site and "grab" bitcoin - but this will take a long time, and you will need very good hardware.
Or you just buy Bitcoins on a Bitcoin-Exchange.
OR buy/get it private.
No other ways to get Bitcoins.
