BG Bot still usable?

Hello,

After reading the recent ban reports, there seems to be a huge increase in bans from blizzard. It looks like GB2 is not usable now, you stick it on and get banned within one hour. I wanted to know if BG buddy was still working correctly and won't get banned within the first hour, just like GB2.

Would love to hear some responses. <3

Yeah, i wanted to know if blizzard can detect the BG bot. It seems like they can for the GB2 one.

Wonder who told you that iv been running GB2 for almost 2 days and i haven't even been warned ... :P
 
on the "hard side" blizzard can't detect any bot.
on the "soft side" blizzard can detect any bot via patterns. (yes - even questing, professionbuddy, and other bots that are considered "not bannable" by a majority of the community)

tony is right, that every module can be used without problems. I'm currently running 6x Gatherbuddy2 about 18h/day, and had no bans for .. ever? Its all a matter of how you setup the bot.
 
best way to avoid youre ban in gb2 is really to make your own profiles with zap recorder i never notice any one in my hotspots with randomise hot spot on i make verry long routes no one flys there

Thank you for the reassurance. I always watch my bot. I have to do school work but i can't play world of warcraft and do work at the same time. Thank you! Happy Botting!
 
Bg buddy works fine.... but a bot looks like a bot. Ever see a toon follow you around in the bg and wont attack until you attack him, or 4 for that matter? a bot looks like a bot

I just started botting for a few weeks and have been heavy botting with BG, Questing (sometimes 12+ hrs), Pets, and Archaeology. No one has ever thought I was a bot, whispered me about being a bot, or have I been suspended.

Not gonna take a chance and still play it safe but HB hasn't let me down yet.
 
I have a couple of friends that have been suspended for bgbuddy (yes, they never used questing profiles or anything like that). Their profiles was set up correctly and worked fine.
Ofcourse the movement and path of the bot is easily spotted, so I guess they got too many reports.

I have avoided a ban since I disable all small battlegrounds. It obviously take more time to get the honor you want, but it is still worth it. Better safe than sorry :)


But yeah, it works, but I'd hope for an update on paths and smarter movement or something like that. Dont know.
 
with BGBuddy you have a high chance of getting banned, for example
with fresh install - everything fresh and new
-in 90% of arathi basin all the hb bots run against the fence no matter what...right after start, till the game begins - no human would do so...in 20% after walking against the fence the whole prep phase the WALK to a base after the game begins
-in 30% of all strand of the ancients the bot will WALK to the strand ...no human will do so

and thats only 2 examples...if i were a gm i could ban hundred bots everyday just while watching this 2 bg?s

and this happens all the time...every fresh installation do so
 
Never saw problems like these on my bots,for those with problems you can use support issues section including your log as attachment

hmm very strange, if i risk an acc again i will post a log of this strange behaviour

and what is with isle of conquest? EVERY bossland bgbuddy bot uses the portal at the beginning altough the door is wiiiide OPEN!
if u now tell me u never saw THIS bot behaviour too, i call u a liar :D
 
I run BGbuddy for 3-4 hours at a time while I am at my computer. I have never had the bot run against the wall or anything. The only time it does some kinda stupid things is that it will defend glaives (in the rare chance horde gets them on IoC) and the catapults where they spawn, instead of moving with them or where they are going to.

cause isle & strand = banned bgs

Actually the SotA one is true. It will run off the defending platform and around the to the "road" down while not mounting up. Afterwards it will mount up fine.
I'm 95% certain that my bot is 100% updated and I doubt it has something to do with my setup. My friend has the exact same problem. I've previously tried to reinstall 10 or so times, even on another partition with Windows 7, and disabled most plugins but with no luck. Mount distance/pull distance is both normal and mount is correctly setup (works outside normally, only screws up in SotA in the beginning at defending site).

Also, in silvershard mines or w/e it is called, I noticed my bot (and several other lol) in the middle of the night ran down off the little drop from spawn, then ran back into the wall, ran forward again, ran back, ran forward (this would go on forever, luckily I was spectating my bot and played the BG myself and chatted a bit so people wouldnt notice). 5 people (myself included) did that in that very battleground. Also the case with the SotA bug.

So it would be really weird if those seven people had the exact same problem at the exact same time and it has nothing to do with the profile itself/etc.

I dont know if this is fixed though since when I saw that I immediately disabled queue for both bgs.
