BG Bot fails vs Competition

Alright folks, I don't want to stir a bunch of shit with this thread I just want to provide feedback on the use of this product. As with many of the botters here I have paid subscription to this service as well as the other leading service "not mentioning name to keep aligned with forum rules". In the past I have used mostly honorbuddy and tried to support this service as much as I can, but recently the current status of Honorbuddy doing bg botting is completely unacceptable.

The only way to succesfully grind bgs with this program is to constantly watch it to reset it for all the crashes and stops that seam to take place. Where as using your competitor it will run non stop without issues for hours on end.

I realize that the BG bot function is still in Beta, but you must realize your program is called "Honor Buddy" for a reason. Your main focus should be to get the Bg botting to work much smoother than it currently is, otherwise you may risk losing a lot of customers to your main competitor.

Just use the pvp function wich works fine untill bg bot comes out of beta?
 
PvP Bot and BG Bot are just so bot-like and atm really seem to lack the AI for pvp at all...

With that being said I suppose you could run HB with a dps class and you'll get by but you're still risking a lot, and using either with Healing spec'd classes is just god awful to be honest.

For these very reason's is why I use a different bot for BG farming

Yes I should mention that I do use the PVP feature and its just as buggy.... Honorbuddy is great for grinding but its very lackluster unfortunately for pvp.

There are other options other there that are much better until HB becomes more competitive.

Also I havent had Honorbuddy run all night in Bgs for me since 2010....
 
I must agree to all of this. I was going to start my own thread to express some shit but ill just do it here.

I am really disappointed in the lack of development for the buddy products. I have since stopped supporting their products because frankly, there are free bots that have more intelligence, work just as well if not better, and are opensource and free. Gatherbuddy should have been updated long ago with basic class functions to improve its functionality. Pets for example. I shouldn't be wasting my time developing a macro to trick wow into checking for a pet, when I payed a flat rate and a subscription for this product. Just apply honorbuddys combat engine to it.... Also, Honnorbuddy SHOULD NOT be a paid product. Ever since HB2, this program has been full of bugs and errors. A beta tag may not even suffice. I started with 2 Honnorbuddys because a "paid plugin system" was coming. Yeaaa.....that never happed, so I was SOL for gathering. Again, i am extremely disappointed in this lack of development for these products. I expected a lot more especially when paying top dollar.

Not sure if you noticed or not but the big section under the login block is part of the paid plugin service. Also HB2 was getting done rather well but unfortunately the massive changes to the game meant things had to be redone.
In regards to development; it is being developed but people who do not get hands on with the bot in terms of plugin, custom classes and profile creation do not see the advancement. Add the previous sentence to the fact a lot of people are too lazy to give back to the community and then we start to see the so-called "lack of development".
I am sure you will be more excited if you were in IRC and see what some of the core devs and cc devs have planned for the very near future.

For the others with problems running over night... submit your bugs on the bug tracker and they will get fixed. Every single bug I have encountered and documented was fixed in the very next release, even very simple bugs!
 
IRC you say, is this IRC open to paying customers? =)

if the bot was opensource or free, i am sure more people would contribute a lot more. at least I would. But thats why i am paying.....for it do be working as advertised and for the development.
 
The main issue you're seeing with non-DPS classes, is the lack of proper PVP support in the CC.

I had to write my own druid resto logic, specifically for PVP to make it stop looking like an idiot. I suggest you take it up with the creator of your CC.

As for other complaints, can you be more specific? Whats wrong with BG Bot? (Aside from the fact that it doesn't yet capture flags)

Ya I must agree. I am totally pissed. I just leveled 2 of my level 80's to 85 running nonstop AV's over the weekend. This is unacceptable.
 
ya i am very pissed this last av weekend i took 3 toons from 45ish to mid 60s and farmed like 15 pieces of 85 honor gear for my farmers!!! I want my monies back or else i will keep botting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Dear TE if you look at that other BG Bot you dont mention you will find 2 Sites of Bann postings since 17.01.2011 but hey if you still think its better ....

I stick with HB i got 5 Items over the laste AV weekend thanks to the Beta PVP Bot

First off, I have had lifetime since release practically, this is my 2nd lifetime account. I was SO SO SO happy with HB1 as it was almost bug-free and could run for a week without me having to intervene. Ever since HB2 its been endless bugs, though they are getting sorted out slowly. This is the most expensive bot on the market, 80euro in USD is like $115, and then you have some of us buying multiple lifetimes. Thats a lot of money we invest into your service. I do however understand that 4.0 came out and that changed a lot.

Now for the quoted text. When you spend this much on a bot, you should not have to rely on the community to make a class that works. We pay a lot for this, and it should come with working CCs made by the Dev team, as you guys are the pro coders and this is your product. As far as i see it, there is a lot of half finished products coming out for HB, you should work on 1 thing at a time and you'll have a lot less unhappy customers.

Anyway, this is my little rant, i own the competitor bot as well but refuse to use a macro system, and i like this community better. But this bot hasn't improved in quality since HB2 came out, just a lot of buggy features.

I think the issue here is the name of the product is Honourbuddy so people expect to be competitive in PVP. I can't see any bot on any site actually being better than human interaction.

Hence if your getting 4k honour per day at 85 who cares if you die alot because after a week when you have your items thats when you will be playing yourself surely?

I think the leveling system with HB is really good, running instances with a grinding profile earning nearlly 300k per hour as i just sit and watch movies. 24 Euros for a years worth of that? i don't see any problem at all.

24euro isn't a lot of money, 160 is. Consider yourself lucky. And its not about weather its a large amount of money to you or not. Its that we paid for something that was stable, and now it is not. The whole point of botting is so you can do other things away from the computer. I have to babysit my PvP/Questing, so i might as well just play?

Anyway hopefully things change soon.
