[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

Pretty decent. I let it run for 6 hours last night so that I could get up to 525, and woke up to a 300g repair bill. Bot had been drowning itself over and over again. I find it is best to just watch it to make sure it doesn't do anything stupid.

Turn on the Rez at spirit healer option so if somehow you get in a situation like that it should not happen over and over. At least that is what is working for Kalimdor.

Also so far have gotten over 3k plus nightelf fragments(have all rares) 1k fossil fragments. I just want to get that tolvir mount allready lol...I guess making it go to a specific race when it pops up would be nice but wouldn't that just be more travel time?
 
anyne have a clue why it would not be using flyer on my druid but instead ground mount?

I'm no coder, so I don't know if these 2 small changes are possible the way HB is set up but here are some suggestions:

*Make it so it doesn't have to follow the road when traveling large distances, flying staight to the zone(avoiding hostile towns) is much, much faster than following the roads there.

*If there you finish a dig sight and a new dig site doesn't appear in the same zone or within X number of yards, and there are 3 out of 4 of the digsights close together but accross the map, goto those ones instead of chasing the one digsight around one part of the map(see pic. for more explanation)

Don't know, if this question was before, but: after getting skill of 525, it often happens that the digsite locates at Twilight Highlands (I'm digging Eastern Kingdoms). There are a lot of 85 agromobs, and my character dies almost every time he gets to TH.
It would be great, if I were able to exlcude some zones from digging.
Or I can do it already? If yes, then could you say how?

Update: Or maybe it's possible to make character digging out of the zones with mobs?

I am pretty sure that this is intended. I have the same message on my AB. If you take a look at the dig site on your map it is COVERED in water. While the bots unstuck behavior has gotten WAY better for water and other obstacles it seems like the dev decided it would be in everyones best interest to just blacklist the site entirely.

and start the bot
and all it do is nothing here in the log :

If not, do you have a mount?
Its very difficult to say whats wrong without a log.
 
I let this run over night (~11pm -> 9:30am) in Eastern Kingdoms with no problems at all.

Last night alone it got enough fragments to level archeology from 285-430 and get 3 rares (Chalice of the mountain kings, clockwork gnome and fozzilised raptor) and I did not solve any troll artefacts.

The flying mount takes the same route as ground mounts most of the time, the way it flies over places and through dig sites.. it's very odd :P

current status: bot is running since ~ 9 hours without problems*

*without problems in the meaning of the bot helped itself out of every problem, getting stuck and that stuff without me having to stop it or interact.

God damn trolls fragments. Why cant they replace fossil spots with troll fragment spots, or even dwarf.
 
Having the samme error AGAIN!

So i used the plugin for 8+ hours yesterday and it all went perfect, No stuck NOTHING!
Today i load up and press start and it just stands there , nothing happens..

Has anyone tried this and want did you do to fix it?

not a lifetime user, and yes for sure i have a mount i'm lvl85, i have flying and ground mount
this bot can only work for lifetime users ?
 
Archbuddy also works without Livetime, but you had to config Archbuddy to use Ground Mount:
Button: Bot Settings
Check "Ground Mount Mode"

because without livetime HB can't fly.

Working very nice so far, but still some problems (tested in Eastern Kingdoms):


-When flying from Blasted Lands to Twilight Highlands he will use a route over the Great Sea in the east and will die because of fatigue
-He will pass Blackrock Mountain now, but he flys over the highest top and uses some unstuck workarounds, looks very bottish
-The part in Stranglethorn that was already mentioned 1-2 sites before, he needs to go over the little bridge but ends in the water
-Ruins of Zul Kunda (northwest Strangle) he wants to skip a wall by flying, uses unstuck movement, flyes a little away but ends at the bottom in front of the wall and does the same again in an endless row.

With this fixed i think Eastern Kingdoms would be afk-able!


A Timer that closes WoW and HB after getting stuck (char doesnt move more than 100 yards for one minute, for example) would be a very nice feature, should be easy to do, just a suggestion!
