[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

Learn to read, this has been mentioned a hundred times.

I obviously can read - but I'm not going to sift through 100+ pages of a thread to see if my issue was posted or not yet. Try contributing something useful to a thread instead of "learn to read derp derp" ...

Getting this LUA error in game, anyone else having this one?

Pst, also the Count keeps going up every second. Other then that, a fine job.

Yay it can Climb up to Hyjal now and it does not seem to get stuck on building and other objects. Very good job :D ...

Now that that is fixed, I think the only improvement i can think of is more direct routes.
It's still following the ground routes a bit too much instead of going via the more direct route.

Anyway, thanks for the update :D ...

Bug report:

Loaded on continent Eartern Kingdoms (since you said it's supported)

* Lands on this hotspot <Hotspot X="-10922.74" Y="-4180.227" Z="6.314743" /> Which is in Swap of Sarrows on the south part of the beach.
* When it lands it does Survey over and over, while the Log tab keeps Spamming the Digsites it has found.

* Debug log spams this:

Except this has been mentioned three times per page, so it would have taken about 15 seconds to figure it out. Also, it is very hard to take you seriously when you think that using a meme like "derp derp" is even remotely funny, insulting, or whatever you were going for there. You look like a complete moron, no more, no less.

On a higher note, AB is now working flawlessly for me on three accounts. Keep up the good work, devs. I was surprised to see it clearing Twilight Grove since that is a tough one.

Working very well! Been running for half an hour, and so far I havn't had a single problem! Running on a 85 druid in Kalimdor.

QUESTION:

Is ArchaeologyBuddy responsible for the routes it takes from Digsite to Digsite or is HonorBuddy responsible for that ? ..

So far I have completed 11 digsites in Eastern Kingdoms spanning from Twilight Highlands to Western Plaguelands and all the way down to Stranglethorn Vale. There haven't been any problems whatsoever and I have been running this since the release a little while ago. The real test will be how it handles when I go afk to run errands. I will keep everyone updated.

Show me where the specific scenario I presented is mentioned three times per page, and I'll apologize. I don't care if you take me seriously or not - you haven't contributed anything remotely useful to this discussion. I wasn't going for anything funny or insulting. I was mocking you. But I'm not trying to argue with anyone. Have fun.

Only issue I've seen thus far is when flying deathly high in the air and randomly go in combat, I dismount and drop to my death. I want to say this is a CC issue with the defaults for my class and not an Arch thing obviously.

Bug Report:

Gnomes and water = Death. The auto ascent feature does not work properly for the vertically challenged amongst us... we get to the surface and the final jump action lands us ever so slightly back under the water leading to the whistling scythe of death as we can not properly mount.

I think both of your points have been made. Stop flooding this topic with your personal argument and take it to a PM. If it's not worth it to settle in a private matter, then it obviously isn't worth it to blow it up in public thinking that people really give a crap what you both are saying. The new release is out. I suggest you try it out if you're a lifetime member and enjoy getting artifacts before the 200 cap. Just a thought....

Bug Report:

* Lands and tries to Survey on this location <Hotspot X="-3535.235" Y="-1807.984" Z="23.70454" /> Its keeps spamming survey.
* Log keeps spamming a message (see below)

running smooth dire maul is pleasant to go thru now and only issue i had so far was mt hyjal mountain climb.. it didnt like going straight up to get over the mountain. other then that very very smooth and lots of checks for if suck and pulsing to verify things nicely done and thanks... hawker for the flying fix's in hb and nex for the flightor add.. and rapus for your great tool..

From what I can see, AB is now also taking into consideration the location of previously found nodes. On multiple occasions now I've seen the bot deviate from the specified survey direction, in favour of a previously found node displayed on my minimap (in an, of course similar direction) :) Neat feature!
As a Night Elf, I've also experienced Toryboy's issue of being dismounted after mounting in water, so I've got a feeling it's not a character height issue.
Last but not least, I've encountered this before and after the most recent release, but when navigating from Twilight Highlands to say "The red reaches" it navigates down the east coast, an area where fatigue comes into play, and were it not for my intervention, steering into a "safe zone" the bot would have died :( Whilst I know your focus does not appear to be the Eastern Kingdoms, I'm just mentioning it :)

On the plus note, the Twilight Grove digsite no longer appears to be bugged ^.^

Keep up the amazing work!

what is this error?

Input string was not in a correct format.

Trying to test this now, but my toon doesn't want to fly at all. It just mounts up on its flying mount and then runs everywhere.

EDIT:
OK, Scratch that. I stopped and restarted and it's working fine.
