[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

i would say make a new folder and fresh install hb other than that i have no clue
 
ISSUE: Eastern Kingdoms. The Cape of Stranglethorn.... area (Nek'Mani Wellspring). The toon just sits in the water surveying all the time.
 
Zoram Strand Digsite, is a bit of a problem zone. The bot is having a hard time dealing with getting up from the water it seems, also it start's the survey of the zone in the water. I guess a water fix will have to be implemented at some point, and better navigation, when it needed to go from Winterspring to Zoram Strand in Ashenvale it took the long way through Winterspring, all the way through Felwood, and through Ashenvale, instead of just cutting over the mountaints ;> ... otherwise pretty good job :)...
 
Looking a load better Raph. Still having an issue with the Jaedenar Digsite. Seems to get there and then get confused as what to do next ... log attached, not sure if it will help.

Sorry, didnt want to read through 44 pages and as theres no way to search threads for specific posts... Is there a way to disable the (in my opinion) completely useless random mount selection? Seems like i wasted my money on epic flying if all it wants to do is use a red gryphon.

You do realize that if you have epic flying, master flying etc that even your poor little red griffon flys at 310% ?
 
First of all I want to say WOW this works pretty darn good for a BETA. There are plenty of small minor issues and I am not sure if they are HB or this. I am at work so I cannot post logs but I wanted to just throw a few things out there I noticed.

1) Randomly dismounts in mid air, if it doesnt die when it lands it remounts and continues on its way. Did this 3 times in winterspring. Died ran to body, mounted got about 100 yards away from body and about 60 yards up and dismounted. Went back to body and started the cycle over. I just downloaded this last night so unless that was fixed in the last 8 hrs I have the newest version.

2) Would it be possible to prioritize what artifacts you want it to dig up? Bot was in the middle of the zone and flew up (equal distance or nearly equal) to felwood instead of going to tanaris. I noticed the bot spams the map to see what all digsites are avail and it even lists them so I figured it would be easy to add a config feature that would allow you to prioritize what artifacts you are looking for first and foremost. Obviously if you were wanting to dig in uldum and there was nothing in uldum the bot would have to understand that it needs to clear out the other digsites first. I do see an issue with this and I am not sure how to fix it. If you had uldum as #1 priority and the bot was in felwood but there was dig sites in ungoro and silithus, the bot would have to know to stop and dig those on its way to uldum. Otherwise the bot might be flying from top of map to bottom of map everytime a dig site opens up in uldum. I dont know what the logic would be like to keep the top to bottom map flying over and over again from happening.

3) Is there a way to make it use 2 mounts? Flying and Ground? Use flying to get to the digsite and then use ground in the digsite? The reason I ask is because with flying it sometimes wants to hop forward 100 yards or whatever and it gets stuck on a tree because the logic thinks flying but its really hopping on the ground. I think it would just make things so much easier to have a flying mount to the digsite and ground mount in the digsite.

It seems the problem being that when it lands in the water and gets a red survey, it wants to mount but cant. Then it just sits there more or less.

LOL you posted as I posted so yeah, guess there has been an update in the past 8 hours
 
Is it only me experiencing the bot not dismounting with the newest beta release?
And where is the donate button? :>
 
Raphus, is it possible to add a check whether the initial landing spot is at ground level? The bot sometimes lands on a roof, tree top etc, surveying and not being able to move, since there's no possible paths to generate..
 
yes the dismounting doesnt seem to work, but you can fix that problem for now with activating dismounting in flight in the interface.
 
SUGGESTION: Make it mount up after EVERY survey, I think it would make the pathing alot better.
 
I downloaded this and installed it to HB\Bots\ArchaeologyBuddy\ArchaeologyBuddy.dll and it also has a ABloader.cs in the folder. i ran HB and nothing about ArchaeologyBuddy loaded in the available bots, and nothing in the plugins.. so then i closed and restarted as admin... same thing, Version is Honorbuddy 2.0.0.3740

SUGGESTION: Fragments can NEVER spawn in water (though they can sometimes spawn in the edge). Some Blacklist of water would be awesum, since as I said earlier, the bot's not really happy about water and mounting it seems

( This might have been said earlier, but I really dont have time to read 58 pages of comments ;> )
