[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

For future reference when testing in EK, the bot will never get through to the old world dragon area in Duskwood, Twilight Grove. It hovers at the front of it but cant get any further. Ive been there atleast a couple dozen times and always do it by hand.
 
Just an update to say thanks again. I'm confident that the kinks will be worked out quickly.

I dinged 525 last night and got my scarab mount today! My guildies are jealous, and I owe it to this plugin.

How did you make it work? I have the latest HB and AB and when i start it only goes to frist dig site digs and when it mounts up to go to next site it just stays there.. in the past 2 nites i have only got mabe 5 solves (25 points).. i have to manually do or shut down and restart HB for it to work agian(for 1 site)..

In any case thank you for your help and great job on bot (serious) I think it helps others and you do it on your own time so I cant ask for much...

Meshes are probably downloading, wait and be patient, it will work itself out.

It sounds like it is downloading mesh files for the trip to the next site. This can take some time to do for the first time. Do you have anything appearing in the navigator log tab?

Yeah, I love watching the third tab whenever I first start it up and it has to figure out how to go all the way accross the continent. You'll just see lines upons lines of "loading kalimdor_22_34" (or close enough). Each one of those lines is a separate mesh that would have to get downloaded originally. I counted and at one point there were over over 50 meshes being loaded to find a route.

So yeah, with the changes they made to meshes a few months back, if you haven't actually botted in those areas then you wouldn't have those meshes to begin with.
 
First, I'd like to say great work with this. It's working better every time and I really appreciate it.

A few things I've noticed though. It keeps resummoning my Water Elemental even though it doesn't need to and it's started to attempt digging under water occasionally and essentially drown itself. Could you just remove it's ability to go into water? There aren't any fragment spawns that require you to go into the water.
 
Ok how exactly do I get this to work. I start it in Stormwind and all it does is fly around in circles.

Start somewhere else that's not in the city. Go out to Westfall or something and try again.

There are many places right now that it doesn't like to necessarily start from.

Hello. i just bought honorbuddy. and was going to try the archaeologi bot. atm its looks like HB\Bots\ArchaeologyBuddy\ArchaeologyBuddy.dll . But in the map were the dll file is there is also a file called EmptyProfile. and thats the only thing i can use with the program. but it doesnt work. and when im trying to mount its stands Please purchase lifetime, or a plugin key to enable flight!. and thing is i have Purchased it but where do i find the plugin key ? or how do i make this thing to work ? :O Please help me
 
I have tested this quite a bit in Kalimdor as well as Eastern Kingdoms.

Kalimdor works like a dream (though it occasionally has problems - I just check the comp every 30 mins or so. Usually, it has gone to the Digsite, which means I only have to survey a few times until I can start the bot again).

Eastern Kingdoms, though, certainly needs tweaking (and yes, I have seen the note in the release post - I am merely stating the obvious :) ). This is rather sad for me, as I would love some Troll Fragments (going for Zin'rokh).

Please note that this is not meant negatively, but constructively. I am VERY gratefull for this plugin, and it has far surpassed every expectation that I had when I started using it. raphus - you did it again!

You need a lifetime subscription to HB/GB. This will cost you a lot more money than you paid, unfortunately.
 
I have ran into this problem a few times now. When it gets to the dig site it will actually land just outside the dig site and then begin to spam Survey. Since its not actually inside the dig site it will not work and and the bot will continue to just stand in the same spot and spam survey. Also i wanted to point out that some of the dig sites are oddly shaped and the survey telescope will actually lead you across a blank area to get to the other side of the dig site. When this happens it will continue to stand there and attempt to spam survey. Just thought i would point this out.

what can you do with a 1year HB then ? :O seemse useless to buy 1 year if you cant use the bot or annything ? :(
 
you can pretty much everything EXCEPT use the arch bot with a 1 yr sub..
