Probably varies from server to server, so the best way might be to do some market research.

Like others have said, look at your market board. There may or may not be easy money in level 50 1-4star gathering mats and soils. Pre-xpac stuff, otherwise farm whatever profiles you can get working. Eventually you will find yourself a routine and switch up what you are farming and selling to prevent over saturation of the market.
