Best Way to get a Drake?

Hi,

i just wanted to ask the Community how i could get a Drake and which way is the best one. For sure i want to use HB to automate the progress..

any ideas?
 
The rare spawn drakes aren't easy to get with HB cause they have such a low spawn chance. Easiest drake to get in the game is the bronze one from heroic Culling of Stratholme (WOTLK lvl 80)
 
Bronze Drake - THE easiest
Sandstone Drake (You become the mount, you're not on it) - 33-45k depending on server.
Time Lost Proto Drake - Very rare mount made much more obtainable with honorbuddy.

There are ofc many drakes in WoW, but these are the ones I think are the easiest (taking honorbuddy into account). Time-lost will take a long time to find though.
 
Bronze drake is deffo the quickest/most simple to get.

You should be able to solo it at 85 too. Id advise taking somone with you tho just incase and to make it faster (You nead to clear in 25mins)
 
There aren't any drakes you can just grind with HB.

The Cataclysm Heroic achievements are absolute jokes and the drake doesn't look half-bad. Go for that.
 
kk..i just came back from culling of stratholme.. my m8 took away the bronze drake.. and i get it tomorrow.. and beside of this i am thinking about buying a Sandstone Drake ^^... after i farmed Gold for my Private Buyers :)

You also can Quest with HB and get the Drake of the West from TolBarat Daylies or use a Questprofile for Netherwing Drakes.
Or with a Plugin you could hunt everything. I wrote one to hunt the TLPD and already writing on one for Aoenaxx.

Wyrmrest Accord i believe allows you to buy a Red Drake with exchaulted rep. But its been awhile since i checked.

How long did it take for you to get the TLPD?^^
 
Considering you are a botter and have A LOT of gold, just as every botter.... I would suggest:

1 - buy vial of the sands, about 40gold
2 - Create a pug to make OS10 3 drakes, paying 1000g each person, and say that drake will not be rolled. Very easy to get the drake this way, people become very happy with 1000g. You need 1 or 2 healers, 8 or 9 DPS. Thats 8k gold you spend for the drake... (Black Drake)

Part two sounds nice^^ maybe i try this..
 
For OS 10man u don't need 8-9 dps and 2 healers

1 tank 3-4 dps and 1 healer should be fine.

u need to do roughly 20k dps though.(Bloodlust or Time Warp would help a lot)

Don't kill the blue dragons while clearing the trash and you'll also get an achi if u leave them alive during the big dragon fight

OS25 man for the better looking twilight drake 1 tank , 6-7 good dps and a healer.

Entrance is below Wyrmrest Temple for OS 10/25 man
